Sukhoi Su-25 "Frogfoot"
And after 50 hours of continuos work, there she is!
History:
The Sukhoi Su-25 Grach (Russian word for rook; NATO reporting name: Frogfoot) is a single-seat, twin-engine jet aircraft developed in the Soviet Union by Sukhoi. It was designed to provide close air support for the Soviet Ground Forces.
The first prototype made its maiden flight on 22 February 1975.
In September 2015, it was reported that at least a dozen Su-25 were deployed by Russia to an airfield near Latakia, Syria, to support the Russian forces there who were taking part in the Syrian offensive against ISIL.
Design:
The Su-25 has a conventional aerodynamic layout with a shoulder-mounted trapezoidal wing and a traditional tailplane and rudder. All versions of the Su-25 have a metal cantilever wing, of moderate sweep, high aspect ratio and equipped with high-lift devices. The wing consists of two cantilever sections attached to a central torsion box, forming a single unit with the fuselage. The air brakes are housed in fairings at the tip of each wing. Each wing has five hardpoints for weapons carriage, with the attachment points mounted on load-bearing ribs and spars. Each wing also features a five-section leading edge slat (-15°) when fully deployed, a two-section flap (-35°) and an aileron (+20°/-20°).

CAUTION: Due to the fact that for realism purposes the whole payload's drag has been set to 1, the plane will tend to have a slight autoroll, because the game physics. I will correct the problem in a newer version.

Great job . Magnific plane .
definitely the most realistic SU-25 I've seen so far!
This is absolutely gorgeous! I love how sharp and crisp this plane looks. Great job!
I think this plane needs to be updated. Very good build. 👌
Welcome back my friend? How have you been lately? @LeonardoEngineering
@asteroidbook345 okay
@MiiniWi I’ll set it to angleOfSlip so it works right
@MiiniWi ah nice
@MiiniWi hmmm
@asteroidbook345 heres a video for the rudder
@asteroidbook345 although it isnt always reversed. its mainly for stability.
@LeonardoEngineering Don't get me excited for nothing lol
@SneakySniper maybe, I wouldn't give it for certain.
I've missed a lot both the game and the community this whole time, and many dear friends that I haven't heard from since I left.
@asteroidbook345 as @SneakySniper already said, DCS is quite a nice source. The 3D Aircraft Model that the game uses is incredibly detailed and realistic.
By being a scale modeler myself, I have lots of both physical and digital references to consult for my works
@LeonardoEngineering I missed you, Glad to know you're doing okay, Any chance of a return? I feel like the community has cooled off a lot, but it's your choice! :)
@LeonardoEngineering oof where? I want to make sure my Su-25 is accurate
@SneakySniper better than last time I've shown myself here.
I've kept an eye out almost weekly for cool stuff on the website, glad to see that some great creators are still around.
@LeonardoEngineering LEOOOOOOOO HELLO HOW ARE YOU
@asteroidbook345 just a bit of research :)
.
And yeah @SneakySniper, I quit this game, all because of some people.
@asteroidbook345 dcs world lmao
@SneakySniper bruhhhhh
@asteroidbook345 He quit SP asteroid he cant answer that
The best source would be DCS
I'm not completely sure about the rudder. How did you find out that the upper rudder segment is reversed?
Hey where did you find the info for the missiles about the targeting angle, maxAngleAdjustmentRate etc? I mod aircraft and im currently modding alot of cold war aircraft. Though having a source that gives this info would help with really any mod. Or is the info just preference and isnt realistic?
I really like these planes because you can get a nice bombing run out of them
