Produced by EMD, the GP9 ("Geeps") has 16 cylinders creating 1,750hp. EMD built them from 1954-1963, making a total of 4,112 units. These were built to replace F units because of their limited visibility. For most engineers, GP units had easier operating abilities, allowing it to be used for freight, passenger, and yard work.
This locomotive has no true color scheme, but was inspired by the Southern Pacific "Black Widow" scheme.
Controls:
1 & 2 is headlights
3 & 4 is tail lights
8 enables/disables engines
Roll steers trucks
Trim is throttle
Brake stops the train
Enjoy!
