Description:

The GP-232 Emmot is the second submission for the light bomber / heavy payload challenge. Having demonstrated that carrying the required payload was possible with the GP-231 Lisnox flying wing / lifting fuselage design, this is a submission with a more conventional design. This approach has resulted in a plane that is more successful and viable for use. It is lower in drag, giving it a higher top speed of just over 400mph at 10,000ft, and the range is greater, easily able to fly from Wright to Yeager. Handling is adequate for a bomber; it is not especially agile, but can perform loops and rolls if needed, and it has good stability for performing bombing runs. The payload of 8 x Boom 50 bombs is carried in an internal bomb bay, which is large enough to add more munitions if that is deemed more desirable than keeping the weight down.
