Nord 2501, also known as "Noratlas" or "La Grise", was a French military transport aircraft designed after the war to replace its outdated Junker 52s and C47s. It mainly served during the Algerian war of independence to deploy paratroopers and cargo carrying, although other countries used it until the early 1990's as a civilian transport. The two longitudinal booms allowed the aircraft to load and unload cargo from it's rear "Clamshell" doors.
Flight controls can be found in the "show instructions" option ingame. I have equipped the aircraft with side doors, the rear "clamshell" doors and 3 paratroopers (please excuse the lack of detailing, the part count was getting high).
Hope you like it!

@SilverStar Oui!
Non, pas avant d'avoir visité ton profil, la communauté fait quoi au juste?
@Barthelemy Alors tu est français aussi ? Tu connais la communauté française de SimplePlanes ?
Bloomin marvellous! Wish I could build this quality when I was bronze - it’s also a rare type so that gets my attention. For a few parts more you can add simple liveries to civi builds but I’m sure you’ll pick this up as you go along!
Am I the only one that thinks the guys in the back are actually terrorizing a plane, no war, but it's funny though, ok, to be serious, great creation mobile user! Good job on doing a paratrooper aircraft!
Just perfect . Great build .
@SilverStar Thanks for the comment!
I agree for the weird nose, I don't have other means to create a smooth round nose other than fuselage cones, although the "straight" portion of the part angers me all the time... Would love to learn another method!
Being French definitely helps to be interested in these aircrafts ;)
Although the reason I tried to replicate it was a photo I recently found of my grandfather jumping out of one during his service in the Algerian war.
Nice build in general, I like the paratrooper feature, rare to see it.
The plane looks nice, but the nose is a bit weird
Also the roll rate is too high
But it's nice to see that there are people interested in french aircrafts !
