All standard controls, no flaps or anything fancy. Make sure you fly with trim. Ramming is possible, but you’ll likely go into an unrecoverable flat spin.
The Northrop XP-79B was a variant of the XP-79 aerial ram project of 1945. The idea was to make a jet or rocket aircraft that was capable of shearing off the tails of German and Japanese bombers. The initial project seemed promising, but the one prototype was lost during its first test flight, and accurate flight performance is unknown. The fasted recorded speed was 547 mph, however that is only an estimate since the aircraft was destroyed shortly after.

The book you have, can you put a link to it? I’m out of stuff to entertain myself with! (Aside from SimplePlanes) @asteroidbook345
Oh yeah, very nice planey for 25k soon! @asteroidbook345
very nice plane . Great job .
hey when i do your photos you can tell me what angles you want, i noticed you used that one for the first image. I thought that was a bad photo but it looked interesting so i kept it
@asteroidbook345 The Wrong Stuff? Not a credible source. Refer to the wiki page and it's sources.
Seems like it’s the other way around LOL. It was actually supposed to ram into enemy bombers but planes never had to resort to that tactic.@Brields95
Check your facts before uploading a replica. Where did you get the idea this was meant to be a ramming aircraft? It was nicknamed the flying ram because the test pilot rammed the ground.
It’s actually a common misconception that the XP-79 was built as a flying ram. It was meant to be armed with four .50 cals

@asteroidbook345 from what I can remember, it’s most certainly the best one on here!
Quite a cool replica! It looks and flies pretty good! The cockpit could look a little smooth like in the real one but it is an annoying shape to get right. Overall you did a great job!

Interesting! I wonder how reinforced the wings had to be in order to slice through other planes
