Overview

Designed by Chester Harper, an important designer at the Wilkian Patrol and Attack Boat Company (WPAB for short), the 141ft Harper MGB Type-25 has a couple major differences over the preceding PT1 Class, (Officially known as the Hampton 69ft assault patrol boat or the AP Boat) and the PT-12 class (officially known as the Jackson 81ft Hydrofoil assault boat or the 81ft HAB.) The differences are as follows: #1 It has the heaviest main armament, consisting of one 105mm cannon and four 57mm cannons; #2 It contains the most missiles, having four Anti-Air and six Anti-Ship; #3 It has the heaviest AA armament up to this point, of two 50mm AA Cannons, and sixteen 1in AA Cannons; #4 It contains a heliport to refuel and rearm VTOLs and helicopters; #5 It contains new Draceon revolving depth charge launchers; and #6 It is the longest at 141ft, 60ft longer than the previous PT12.

It's depth charges weigh a staggering 4409.25Ibs! Each contain a depth fuse, and a thicker shell for more shrapnel. It revolves at such a speed that it will take two seconds in-between launches if you do it right.

History

Originally started to patrol the waters of some testing facilities, the idea was to have a high-angle 105mm Howitzer and a single 2in Cannon to provide AA cover, the design was scrapped because of the need to assist landing troops. The next design would be provided be WPAB instead of The Brooklyn Ship yard. This new design carried the intended 105mm cannon, but now with increased AA cover and new 50mm Anti-Tank cannons. This new design would have extremely thick treads so it could land on assault areas and provided heavy support. Only problem, it was prone to breaking down under it's weight, because it is the weight of 15 Maus tanks. The next design would not carry Centaur and Minotaur missiles, instead, it would carry MDM-72 missiles that were found on the MDS-PT12. This never happened with the arrival of the modified Vascin C-10, an improved Prong Class Corvette, with better missiles and better radar. It would be decided to carry the same missiles as theVascin.
