Auto Credit Based on Kevinairlines's vietnam war Challenge! [read-description-and forum] closed
I saw this Vietnam challenge and immediately thought of air America! (That and "you weren't there man") So here is my attempt at the Fairchild C-123 Provider. Please note the 'low and slow' lumbering characteristics. I personally wouldn't recommend banking past 30 degrees without some height to spare! My attempts to trim this beast have come up short so it requires trim in flight, i.e. all of it! Hence the tipping in effect whilst conducting heavy banking. Landing is its redeeming feature on the other hand. VTOL down for flaps and any normal approach is quite smooth with 50% power. Now back to the 'nam for some op ranch-hand antics.....
