CAN-AM RACING CHALLENGE ENTRY

6,413 LunchBox  1.2 years ago
Auto Credit Based on 32's [CLOSED] Can-Am Racing Challenge

This is my introduction to Canams racing challenge

Went ahead and made a early 60s F1Car, it’s really really fast and quite realistic to drive due to its rollable rear suspension to make sure your always stuck to the track even when cornering at 200+ mph
Car took a lot of time to get right and ALOT of crashing, but it was all very worth it because its genuinely a attack beast, not as good as my race car before that is posted but I tried to keep this one somewhat realistic with under steering integrated

CONTROLS

READ THESEEEEEE

Or not…
1. Trim up- trim up is to lower the car onto the ground, the only way the car is gonna drive is when trim is up.
2. Roll is to turn ofc
3. Brakes is to stop and activates brake lights
4. Pitch is to control your throttle
5. Activation groups 1-7 N/A

Well I really hope y’all enjoy this build, looking forward to doing plenty more like this one. It was a good fun challenge and I hope you guys will have fun with it

Thank you 32

    My personal rating

Driving 10/10 It drives pretty good
Build quality 10/10 best mobile build I’ve seen in a while (Better than what I can do)
My only complaint is that it’s built like a Grand Prix car, not like a can am car, can am cars had to have enclosed wheels, some of the later cars were just Formula 2 cars with enclosed wheels, so I can see this easily getting fixed.

If you were to race on a realistic modded track, 130mph wont feel slow anymore.

@LunchBox That is good reasoning, after all it does feel good to drive, so although it's not realistic it is still quite good.

@32 understandable, and I’m glad you rated it so high. Reasoning for such i speeds and fast acceleration is because 120 mph feels so so slow in this game they need to add some sort of effect to the game to help with the feeling of speed like motion blur. Thank you though I’m very glad you enjoyed

Out of mine and @All's judging, this adds up to a 23/30. Good work!

Alrighty I like this thing. From the perspective of looks, you couldn't really ask for too much more realism without a pretty high part count. It handles really, really well. My gold prix time was 1:03 on my first attempt, and I could almost certainly hit sub 1 minute if I really tried. (Edit: I managed to get 52 seconds.) While the performance is really good, it is not terribly realistic. I never had to brake and rarely had to let off the gas, meaning I took pretty much every curve at 200 mph. Also, the 0-60 speed is like 1.5 seconds, which I won't dock points for but is worth noting.
Overall, performance is a solid 10/10 as it has clearly been well tuned and quite a bit of time has been spent on it. Unfortunately, realism did not rank as high, earning only a 5/10 due to handling.
Overall, this build got a 15/20, a solid entry by any means.
Outside of the criteria of this challenge, this is a phenomenal build that I really like.
Good work and good luck as more entries come in.

@All i figure I'll probably rate it pretty soon then the average will be the overall score if that works for you.
Also keep in mind the main judging categories are just performance and realism
