McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II
ROAD TO PLATINUM SERIES!
Hi guys! FINALLY, I brought to life my first Favourite plane of all time... the mighty McDonnel Douglas F-4 Phantom II! I spent 24 hours on this replica, and I personally think that it's one of the best I've ever done!
This is the elegant, but still powerful RAF version, with dedicated Air Brakes, Landing Gears and Semi-Working Cockpit! Hope you enjoy!
The McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II is a two-seat, twin-engine, all-weather, long-range supersonic jet interceptor aircraft/fighter-bomber originally developed for the United States Navy by McDonnell Aircraft. The Phantom is a large fighter with a top speed of over Mach 2.2, which can carry more than 8400 Kg of weapons.
Instructions:
AG1 to drop external fuel tanks
AG2 to launch Radar Guided Missiles
AG 3/4 to launch Sidewinders
AG 5 to activate the Gun pod (retract Landing gears First!)
AG 8 to turn on/off all lights
VTOL Down to use Flaps and Slats
Trim to... Trim! Ya don't say?
This baby is one of the most realistic planes I've ever done! Throttle at 70 for take-off. Pitch up at 200mph. Maintain throttle at 50%. When engaging, throttle at 80%, Flaps 25% down. The plane is very fast, thanks to the two J79 Turbines. Fly up to 12.000 ft with throttle at 100% to reach Mach 2.2. To land, approach at 450mph. Then maintain speed at 300mph during the descent. The plane stalls at 240mph without load, so be careful! Touch the ground at around 200-220mph, then brake.
This is it! Have fun, and don't forget to subscribe and leave an upvote to help me reach platinum level! Thank you so much! See ya!

This really is lovely! Don’t see many RAF versions of the F4. This would look v nice in a flight with my RN version.
Please if u make a subsembly of these engines or if say me how u made the afterburner so realistic then i would be excited cause the specific f4 i fried was the best one :)
Could you make a U.S Navy version if you haven't already? @FrogmasterAereonautics
@Sarpanitu I know, sadly SimplePlanes doesn't allow this... If we could only Update our creations without creation new ones! Or if we could take new screenshots...
@Sarpanitu Crap! I forgot to invert the colors when I mirrored it >.< by the way thanks!
Oh my... The attention on details is very strong in this one...
@FrogmasterAereonautics I know where a restored, air-worthy F-4 is!
@FrogmasterAereonautics I'm gold!
@EngineerOtaku don't worry, I always accept critics! By the way, thank you
@FrogmasterAereonautics I should be the one apologizing. You put a lot of work into this and here I am complaining about the little things. I WILL say it flies wonderfully.
@redbear89 thanks, I'm happy to hear that... However a lot of people didn't like it like my older creations, by the way, I hope to reach platinum level soon thanks to the help of all of you
@EngineerOtaku I'm sorry to hear that.. But I can confirm that it's 95% accurate, for how much I could have done with simpleplanes..
I'm gonna be frank; aside from lots of functionality and detail, there is something...OFF about this F-4. I've been looking at it from every possible angle and the wings and cockpit bug me. :( I hate to say that, but it's what I feel. Still an outstanding build; miles better than anything I could do.
Great dude.. :)
Sure as he'll blows mine to tiny bits. Amazing job dude!
great job
@WeeBabySeamus that's a honor to hear that! Thank you so much!
@BogdanX hahaha thank you! I realized that the engines on my latest replicas are not so bad (I don't even know how I made some good looking ones._.)
this has my vote for the best looking F-4 on the site, and trust me, I've seen them all.
When I started to read @BogdanX I started to feel so sad for the comment, anyway I realized. Thanks mate :)
@FrogmasterAereonautics :D
@BaconAircraft hahaha thank you my friend! This was the first replica where I tried to maintain maneuverability but with increased realism! And I think I did the job!
God damnit! You beat me to it!
But still, excellent build and amazing detail!
I spotted the meme.
