Full video here.
The TBV 100 (Thruster-Based VTOL, 100,000 lbs) is the flight module from my TIE Fighter, with some improvements.
- VTOL capability.
- Trimmed for level flight at full throttle, but can fly level all the way down to about 420 mph with full up-trim.
- Superb maneuverability.
- Excellent yaw response with zero yaw-induced roll.
- Handling precise enough to fly through the Maywar temple complex at over 1000 mph.
Controls
- Custom camera 1 for cockpit view.
- AG1 for afterburner.
- AG2 enables VTOL mode.
- In VTOL mode, push the VTOL slider up to rise; down to descend.
- Brake to decelerate.
- Other flight controls are normal.
Requirements for using in your own builds
- Make sure the build is made entirely out of zero-mass parts (the total mass of the build must be zero).
- The build must not have any wings or functional engines (cosmetic engines with powerMultiplier="0" are ok).
- The total drag of your build will determine the acceleration and top speed. Keep it close to the drag of the flight module for best results.
- The build must be large enough to contain the module (duh).
How to install
- Remove the crosshair subassembly by detaching the stubby cylinder at the front.
- Detach the flight module from the cockpit by dragging away the matte-silver cylinder, and create a subassembly from it. The matte-silver cylinder is the central part of the flight module to which all other parts are attached, so it's the only part you must use to handle the module.
- Attach the subassembly to your build via the silver cylinder and nudge it inside.
Making your build a successor is not required. Gentlemen will give credit.

@Frenchyfry Hmm, now that you mention it...
ngl it reminds me of a vape
@NoName101 I was included in beta testing for SR2 and I bought the game the first day it was available; but so far it doesn't offer as much freedom as SP, so I don't play it. The first (and only) vehicle I built in SR2 can act as a planetary explorer, and also fly from one planet to another using visual flight rules, i.e., you point your ship's nose at the planet and open the throttle. But, because you cannot hook up engine inputs to pitch, roll, and yaw, it's a pain to fly, so I never posted it. I hope the developers can make SR2 as much fun as SP at some point.
I wanna see what u can do in simplerockets 2, consider trying that out if you haven’t already
@WarHawk95 How come so many people here focus on the most irrelevant things? The empty weight calculation is a bug in the website, where if you use zero-mass fuel tanks it counts them as negative mass.
@Gameboi14 It is...
@Notaleopard Are you writing an essay for school or something? The features are listed in the description. The video also shows its capabilities. Lastly, you can download it and fly it around.
Thanks, @Treadmill103. Flying this is probably the most fun I've had in SP for a while.
Look at description
Look at Empty weight
Sees -2,000,000 kg
WTFFFFFFFFF-
IS THAT ?!?!?
I thought it was an aircraft
Is this similar to the Hover Module?
Aslo what is the advantage and disadvantage of the new flight module?
