FA-37 Talon

Auto Credit Based on Apollo018362's Stealth Challenge

The F/A-37 Talon. The next leap in aerial military technology.

Equipped with the newest military jet fighter technology, this 6th generation single-seat twin-engined stealth jet fighter was made to succeed the F-35 and F/A-18 in naval carrier air support.

Capable of hypersonic flight, carrier & stealth operations, the Talon performs exceptionally well in air to air combat.

It features a unique ‘switchblade’ wing design which fold forward to reduce drag during high speed flight. With wings extended, they increase low speed manoeuvrability and improve stalling characteristics beneficial during carrier operations. The aircraft can be equipped with a multitude of missiles, but this Talon is equipped with all-purpose general missiles.

Main afterburners are activated above 50% throttle and scramjet engines are activated above 75%. VTOL controls flaps when down and air brakes when up.

I haven't seen anyone attempt to build this plane in years. You nailed it! I still have my DvD laying around somewhere.

@spectre118 Thanks for the feedback man, the elevators flap due to the fly-by-wire system trying to compensate for the aerodynamic instability. If you activate group 5, the flapping stops but the aircraft is pretty hard to handle. But I’ll work on a better fbw system soon. I also decided to make the wings either fully swept or extended as unlike backward swing wings, this aircraft doesn’t handle well with its wings in a semi-extended position and looks pretty ugly. All in all thanks for the feedback and I glad u enjoyed the build!

The rear elevators constantly flip up and down, causing the plane to lose control, it would also be nice if the variable geometry was manual, other’n that it’s spectacular
