Ok thanks @WalrusAircraft
I’ll have a look later on my old Mac to see where it shows up. @chancey21
If it helps, I’m on OS X @WalrusAircraft
But I can’t... I click export and it might be doing it but I can’t find the file. @WalrusAircraft
You should be able to export directly from the game @chancey21
Thanks for continuing the effort on your script. As for the 3 D print, it is a bit rough, but we are still in the early days of printing. Resolutions can be higher, but is takes much longer to print. @SledDriver
Kind of like the hollow fuselages by Gestour @SledDriver
I don’t know how to export OBJs but I know how to 3D print @WalrusAircraft
Like PVC pipes and like cylinders without bases @SledDriver
@chancey21 By tubes, you mean cylinders or more complex shapes?
@WalrusAircraft That 3d print looks pretty good, but it has that layered surface texture that all 3d printed stuff seems to have.
All right, I'll keep working on it.
Sized from like gun barrels to jumbo jet fuselages @SledDriver
Like some tubes of all different sizes @SledDriver
SP added OBJ export functionality about a year ago. It is hidden in plane sight in the design menu just above the exit button. Jundroo used a 3D company out of San Fran for awhile to make 3D prints, but they went out of business. Here is how it turned out
You should continue working on your UI. There is value in that.
@SledDriver Indeed. The slight refinement is what makes the difference.
@Pilotmario Thanks. It's the same old style, just a bit more evolved.
@chancey21 Hmm. What kind of shapes would you be looking for in such a parts set?
@WalrusAircraft The core functionality is more or less there, but the UI needs a great deal of improvement. Right now it's pretty much an interface for programmers only.
Interesting, I didn't realise you could export to .OBJ from SP. Have you 3d-printed anything out yet, and if so, what are the results like?
@SledDriver I'm liking this new style of yours.
Here is my Bear in Inventor. I'm still learning this tool. Inventor 2018 - TU-95
And here is yours
@SledDriver - What exactly are you trying to build? Is it a way to make your script easier to run for the users? I've exported our builds as .obj and imported them into inventor. Jr. has free access to a 3D printer at school and he uses Inventor 2018.
Your builds are so smooth, you should make a parts set of tubes @SledDriver
OH! @SledDriver
@Treadmill103 Thanks, but don't hurt the feelings of my earlier builds...
@Strikefighter04 It's not photo editing, that's how the game actually looks for me. I use a custom shader with Reshade.
