I'm starting a series of planes named after the stars in the Orion constellation. This is Alnilam, the middle of the belt. Alnilam is a transonic, variable-sweep wing multirole fighter. It sports a rotating hardpoint on the wing to ensure whatever is mounted there always faces forward.
Comes armed with 4 interceptors, 8 infernos, 4 rocket pods, an autocannon, and 2 droptanks.
Wings are swept with VTOL slider. Avoid sweeping the wings forward. It will make the plane unstable.
AG1 drops the fuel tanks.
AG2 deploys a drag chute.
