I think some people have already built the pelican. Also, yes, this is too hard for me :) Check out the search tool https://www.simpleplanes.com/Airplanes/Search
Decent design and boats ok. Thought since it had wheels that I could steer it from runway to water, but not quite. Hitting the air brakes in the water causes the craft to flip violently. Turning is pretty slow; consider adding some rudders in the water with control surfaces or attached to motors.
I appreciate your honesty. Got it off the ground flying on my first try, and nearly landed except the rotors collided with the tail and exploded violently. A bit awkward, but stable enough.
Pros: Looks great and fires missiles. Cons: Veers a little left, and couldn't get extra jet engine to turn (activation group 3) on because it was submerged.
Nice seaplane mod. Personally, I like this better with non-modded jet engines, but that's just me. Good use of air brakes. I enjoy all that stopping power.
Oh thats fast and kinda cool, but can it turn? It can't. Oh well, turning is just something people do because they can't make up their mind about which way to go. This boat knows where its going, and it will reach its destination long before your silly steerable boats.
Nice improvements. I'm a little bit jealous... I think I like this better than my own design now. Have you seen it? I would be glad to hear your thoughts on it: https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/FkSw7w/Stealth-Watercraft-500 I should probably add missiles, huh?
Love the concept; I was working on something similar a bit ago, but wasn't quite able to work out all the bugs. You should try adding a rudder (upside-down horizontal stabilizer) to the underside so it goes straight in the water. A way to steer would be nice too.
From thumbnail: "Is that a car???"
And so it was. Very cool looking design and it has enough power to go fast and even climb steep slopes. Had to hold it back a bit though or else the tread would get torn off in the EXTREME ACTION. hehe
Very nice design, and looks neat, but lacks horsepower.
Why does this need modded engines...
Can't get it off the runway. Too nose-heavy.
I love the way this looks and flies. It takes off so smoothly and quickly! And it floats! I wish I could give you more than five stars ^_^
@PlanesOfOld This detacher on the front gun turret is also assigned to activation group 1: http://imgur.com/amp4oD0
PS: it sinks rather grandly/dramatically if the gun turret from detacher 1 lands on-deck. The whole ship split in two once XD
Nice aesthetic details... turning is a bit slow, but I guess that's to be expected from a ship of this class? ;P
@PlanesOfOld you can edit your plane's description on the website after it's been uploaded ;)
YOU'RE NOT THE BOSS OF ME

Any idea why it randomly rolls 90 degrees right or left while flapping? I may tinker with it some more...
More flying tips: pull up while flapping up to offset the nose-dip.
@notsonormalplanes This is how the game used to look normally before one of the updates. There is no way to change the background ;(
@Coreyswilson Glad to see you joined up. I look forward to seeing what else you will submit ^^
This design is a bit unstable...
I WAS LIED TO!!!!
Fairly nose heavy so it doesn't want to go straight for takeoff.
This rocks ^^
Airboats have a distinct aesthetic. You captured it pretty well. I'm going to make a couple modifications though... Hope you like them.
suddenly noclip on the cockpit
I like it. Thanks for sharing.
Instructions unclear. Will master various controls later.
You should update this with float blocks :D
I like the responsiveness of these non-conventional controls.
Decent, functional design, but doesn't have much oomph. Wheel design is kinda neat, but doesn't get great traction.

Nice improvements.
@KKERICH thanks! I'll try to figure out how/where to place them.
Looks neat, but doesn't turn very well, and the VTOL jets are locked in place, so i couldn't use those to help nose-up/down.

Looks like I can get up to about 2900 before the end of the runway with the vtol aiming. Very nice.
#ModernArt
You can throttle fully from the start if you tip the vtol down a little first.

Very nice for a first upload. Thanks for sharing.
I like the design. Nice imagination.
Is that what people mean by modded parts? How are they modified?
I'm a little confused about what's supposed to happen when I press activator 3. Am I trying to fly it backwards? Need more details.
You're going to need more float blocks than that...
Nice improvements. Good work ^^

Works as described. Would like to see some sort of aiming mechanism.
Nice way to grab hold and steer. Very fast too.

Surprisingly fun and festive.
