@TheLatentImage Sometimes it's the little things that make it feel real.

  • Grumman OV-1D 8.0 years ago

@VisableAce217 I only recently discovered this plane and really wanted to recreate it. I originally had an open cockpit with working doors and step but opted for a no thrills cockpit view in favour of a more accurate look.

  • Grumman OV-1D 8.0 years ago

@Verterium As @EternalDarkness mentioned, that's the EW suite. I chose this layout of the 1D as I liked the none symmetrical look but they also come with two smaller blocks on the wings in some versions. Feel free to remove it if it's a bit ugly but check the CoM when you do.

  • Grumman OV-1D 8.0 years ago

    @Verterium Random block! Where?

  • ASEA Offworld Explorer 8.0 years ago

@ajitesh93 thank you, will change the description now.

  • Top Gear Reliant Robin space shuttle (Update) 8.1 years ago

Such a shame the real experiment didn't go quite to plan, apparently one little problem meant it couldn't be brought back down safely, would have been amazing if they succeeded.

  • ASEA Offworld Explorer 8.1 years ago

Thanks @MechWARRIOR57 it was a cheap way of getting a good visual effect, only 3 parts needed per canister. Just can't use a VTOL engine now else they'll look like they have leaks.

  • ASEA (Authros Space Exploration Association) 8.1 years ago

@PlanesOfOld I'm part way through finishing a rover to go with the habit, be done in a day or two.

  • ASEA (Authros Space Exploration Association) 8.1 years ago

@MechWARRIOR57 a cargo ship would be great, sea, air or space type all works for ASEA.

  • ASEA (Authros Space Exploration Association) 8.1 years ago

@PlanesOfOld always obliged. Anything XVI thinks ASEA needs really badly feel free to make it, and thanks for the welcome back message. ☺

  • Lockheed Super Constellation L1649 8.1 years ago

@Insertname better late than never, I like your builds, I will be perusing them later.

  • ASEA Offworld Habitat 8.1 years ago

@AndrewGarrison none right now, it has a leek.

@BoxGlow Matt isn't available, we're sending Mark Wahlberg instead!

  • ASEA Offworld Habitat 8.1 years ago

@Allstar back from the dead just in time for Halloween.

  • Airbus A400M v2 8.1 years ago

Thanks all for the comments, and welcoming me back. I'm starting a Simple planes personal project to keep me occupied namely ASEA. See my post for details.

  • ASEA (Authros Space Exploration Association) 8.1 years ago

@MechWARRIOR57 totally up to you, no pressure.

  • ASEA (Authros Space Exploration Association) 8.1 years ago

@MechWARRIOR57 an astroid mining arm to attach to a shuttle, able to reach at least 40 meters and have a drill last capable of reaching a depths of 200 metres. Even mlbettr , have it transported on the back of a truck.

  • ASEA (Authros Space Exploration Association) 8.1 years ago

@MechWARRIOR57 absolutely. I'm certain ASEA are interested in any type of construction equipment that could work and be used on the moon, Mars or any other floating body in space.

  • ASEA (Authros Space Exploration Association) 8.1 years ago

@LooperEpic aha, my bad. Didn't notice the cockpit was also scaled. Works great. Did you use a mod for that?

  • ASEA (Authros Space Exploration Association) 8.1 years ago

@LooperEpic strange, I downloaded it and it's the same size as the original.

  • ASEA (Authros Space Exploration Association) 8.1 years ago

@LooperEpic is that the same size?

  • ASEA (Authros Space Exploration Association) 8.1 years ago

@LooperEpic If you have the time that would be great. This one is 1.5m wide so if you could make it 0.5, 33% of the original size that would be a good fit for most small builds.

  • Gyroscopic Sphere 8.1 years ago

Real cool tech, I ripped off the sphere coating to get to the gubbins and it was a bit more shaky to fly, guess that's how you calibrated the anti weight tank in the centre. Still don't get it though!

  • Airbus A400M v2 8.1 years ago

Thanks for the comments, hopefully will be around some more, had a break to spend time with my family. I noticed one of the flaps on the plane is sticking so will upload a fixed version shortly.

  • Where are you Authros ? 8.3 years ago

Hi All. Thank you for your concern. I am still here and well. As @WalrusAircraft said I have been very busy with real life. I also needed a rest from the game from over two years of playing it. The update looks amazing and so do everyone's designs and I'm sorry I've not been around to comment and up vote them. I'll be back soon, I haven't forgot this game.

  • Warhammer40k Leman Russ tank 8.4 years ago

I used to have one of these when I was younger, probably still in my parents attic somewhere.

  • Kenworth W900L Flat Top 8.5 years ago

Incredible, WalrusJunior is still the greatest builder in my opinion. The attention to detail in this build is incredible, and it's really fun to drive and to hook up that trailer. Everything works perfectly.

  • WALL•E 8.5 years ago

Lost for words how amazing this is.

This is definitely my favourite build so far in Simpleplanes, thanks for making this. :)

  • MAZ 535 ICBM 8.6 years ago

The return of the MAZ, I'm so excited to try this today. I will definitely play the music and I'll even pour myself a nice glass of vodka to have with it.

Thanks for sharing these, they are great.

  • Cessna Model 140 8.6 years ago

    Perfect

  • Auto Wrecker(Tow Truck) By MKI 8.6 years ago

    Incredibly awesome.

  • Handley Page Victor - Lusty Lindy 8.6 years ago

@Aerobako That's unfortunate, I guess you'll just have to wait for the mobile release.

  • Sukhoi SU-34 8.6 years ago

The gears done come close to the rocket pods. Are you closing the gear doors at the same times as retracting the gears? That would cause an explosion, but I explained that in the description. @weaselfan10101

  • Handley Page Victor - Lusty Lindy 8.6 years ago

I don't know myself, I won't have a lot of time soon to be making big planes. ...saying that now that we have the new engine, I am very tempted to make one in what little spare time I will have anyway. @Planefun

  • Sukhoi SU-34 8.6 years ago

Thank you. I didn't know it was called that. I picked it because i wanted to replicate one of the paint jobs, this was a little easier than making camouflage and it was my favourite. @MisterMasada

  • Sukhoi SU-34 8.6 years ago

That's not good. they were working, might be due to a change in the recent update. I'll check that. I'll also take this opportunity to remove the colliders for the additional rotator parts on the gears. @TheLatentImage

  • Star Wars Millennium Falcon 8.6 years ago

you can xml colour bullets, aaaaawesome @KevinMurphy

  • Star Wars Millennium Falcon 8.6 years ago

Flying and shooting and night just got a whole lot more fun.

  • Star Wars Millennium Falcon 8.6 years ago

I gotta check this hyper drive out, great idea putting the beacons on it. Did you set them to activate with the throttle? I guess I'll find out in a minute.

  • Handley Page Victor - Lusty Lindy 8.6 years ago

Very very fast, and thanks. @BaconEggs

  • Sukhoi SU-34 8.6 years ago

All I do is edit xml, nothing more. I just have a lot of experience with it now. @AV8R

  • Sukhoi SU-34 8.6 years ago

I modded the engine to be quite powerful. It's hidden in the central fuselage if you want to make it a component. It uses a lot of fuel very fast though so should be used at high altitude. @AV8R

  • Sukhoi SU-34 8.6 years ago

It's a beta release. Walrus spotted that it had no beta flag. I was wondering if it was because it was created before the beta and I added the parts after the release and/or it is a successor to my test version which didn't have beta parts on. @Hyperloop @WalrusAircraft

  • Sukhoi SU-34 8.6 years ago

Thanks man, here's a tissue! :) @KevinMurphy I started by making that gear with springs, a piston and loose hinges to get that hanging effect of the real thing. It worked as a concept but once any weight was put on it there was an explosive reaction from too much 'springyness'. This is the result of the compromise.

  • Sukhoi SU-34 8.6 years ago

Thank you @SpiritusRaptor , the test dummies are just a taster of your experimental genius in this game, and the modded piston was a great idea. I can't wait to see what you discover/create next.

  • Sukhoi SU-34 8.6 years ago

That might be tricky, would have to look at recreating the gears and removing the beta pats. I'll look at lightning the part count when the update comes out for mobile. @Johawks1976
