@SuperSanic Thalking about how the piston engine works, at first I was sure that when the piston go forward the brake was close, and when go backward was opened. The result it's obviuous... but... but it's not.If you change parameters, the sincro must be lost, but it's remain, so it's not the explaination.
@AndrewGarrison I think there is a thing that validator do not check, and is the lenght. I fixed mine doing a shorten one, but if someone do not recognise the bug, we can find too long cars in the tournament.
@Tully2001 thanks. propellers rotors based to create downforce, and the SuperSanic glitch for engine. No standard engine, no fuel... 18 seconds total time.
I published as public my car by mistake and there was a download when I removed it. I hope I will not see a copy or partial copy in the tournament... the idea for the downforce is easy to recognise.
Just a reminder for all, it's useless, I know, but in every car tournament there are couples of contender that do not follow this simple steps, and we need NINE minutes to step forward:
1) AI use THRUST for go forward, not PITCH.
2) AI use ROLL to steer, not YAW
3) If you got engines, you need FUEL. In the tournament there is no "no fuel" mod.
Little absolutelly not mistery hint for all the player:
1) Disable suspension. It's the only way to survive and not to fly around bouncing like a crazy ball.
2) You need a lot of downforce. Try to imagine how much is "a lot" then do it at least
10x, maybe 20x
Little MISTERY hint (try to think about):
1) Not all the wheels must touch the ground.
2) Rotators and airbrakes are usefull and glitched.
Using this, I'm around 18 seconds, and the limit is not reached I think. Maybe 17 is possible.
My car passed the validation, so I can start again to work on it. It's a collection of glitches, and bring me throught all rings in 20 seconds. Do better and you will deserve the victory, no dubt.
@randomusername You need more downforce in front of the center of mass than in the rear, but you need the center of mass in front of the center of "lift" (that is a different thing than the downforce). And, of course, you can choose to generate downforce in a bunch of ways. ;)
@randomusername I can confirm that 23 secondo is more or less the point where the "climb" (the improving of the performance) become a "wall". Or ... near a wall. I think that it's not the real limit, but it need something special to be breaked.
@Shadowdragon76575754754 I scored at the end of my experiment near 760, but there is a code limit for prop engines (at 760 mph, exactly) that fake the sound barrier. Sadly we cant go faster in level fly with a prop.
@SuperSanic it was a fun night for me, chatting with friends.
@Riskitforabiscuit thanks mate
@SuperSanic thanks to you, I did not know this "engine" and you show it to me. :)
At present 9.48 PM here in Italy... I fear I will lost the tournament if it will take place in the late night for me. :(
+1Hem... is the tournament today?
@Tully2001 OK, I tried but I definitely failed! Andrew, we want the tournament! :D :D :D

how long the tournament start will take?
@AndrewGarrison I think there is a thing that validator do not check, and is the lenght. I fixed mine doing a shorten one, but if someone do not recognise the bug, we can find too long cars in the tournament.
@SuperSanic I think there is no explaination... it's a bug, nothing more.

@Tully2001 My one is brand new
https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/z81GP5/Guidare-sporco-barando-4-6
I cant wait for the start
@SuperSanic good luck at you too, my friend.
+1one minute left. May the best win. And may the IA have mercy of all us. :P
@hopotumon
https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/VW9BeM/New-Meta-1-3-0-1st-in-Eagle-Pass-tournament
this one is mine. It's a GLIDER (no engines) and used it to won the eagle pass tournament. No prop plane can do better than this supersonic "glider"
This is the tournament: https://www.simpleplanes.com/Tournaments/View/822474/Eagle-Pass
at present I discovered (thanks to @SUperSanic) another glitch based on pistons, and can be better.
90 minutes
@hopotumon mod class was the previous one. I hope a prop class with rotors and pistons banned.
3 hours left
six hours left
@SuperSanic me too, but around 18 seconds of total time (about 760/770 mph) the bump become really hard to counter.
beautifull
I think those ugly miniguns on the wings are out of place in the original beautifull design.
+1I published as public my car by mistake and there was a download when I removed it. I hope I will not see a copy or partial copy in the tournament... the idea for the downforce is easy to recognise.
+1@Brendorkus activation "none" mean it is always active.
@SuperSanic dont worry... the little demon between ring 6 and 7 can destroy the cars faster tgan your

@MAHADI fun fact, going supersonic a little demon hide himself in the bump between ring 6 and 7 and destroy you every time you reach him. :P
@SuperSanic Happy for you. Are you finally broken the 20 second limit? If yes, it work

AGs never will be turned on in tournaments. And the AI use thrust and not pitch, to give power
@AndrewGarrison can you perform a validation check? Just to be sure that my built is OK.
I'm happy you enjoyed this platform. I'm following the developement. :) I hope you keep work on it.
@randomusername btw I'm workng on the 0.22" version. ;)
+1@randomusername This is a sure thing, both we will have fun... :) Or why we are playing SP?
+1@randomusername You need more downforce in front of the center of mass than in the rear, but you need the center of mass in front of the center of "lift" (that is a different thing than the downforce). And, of course, you can choose to generate downforce in a bunch of ways. ;)
@randomusername I mean leave the concept of "angle of attack negative wings to generate downforce" and start to think in different dimetions.
Thinking out of the box ("really" out of the box) I'm at 22 seconds, but I think I can go down to about 18
+1@randomusername I can confirm that 23 secondo is more or less the point where the "climb" (the improving of the performance) become a "wall". Or ... near a wall. I think that it's not the real limit, but it need something special to be breaked.

@JDog3106 I mean that the magic moment of my biplane is ended
@JDog3106 once upon a time...
@edensk @SodiumChloride thanks, I hope now it work
OH... thanks for the feature! :D
10 seconds
19 minutes
@Riskitforabiscuit the AI usually fly my planes and think "Hey, a 90° right turn... the best way to do it is a 270° left roll" BOOOM!
But who cares? I want to enjoy this event.
The D-Day is coming, I hope I will pass at least one or two brackets.
@AviownCorp thanks for the spotlight.. :)
