Welcome to simple planes! Thats certainly 100 times better than my first plane. Just a suggestion, try using fuselage blocks, they can make a lot of unique shapes, theyre easier to work with, reduce part counts, etc. Once you get used to them you can make a lot of really cool stuff!
if its a military bomber, i try to think of a non-flashy, cheap paint, maybe like a matte grey, beige, or green depending on what region you would like it to exist in.
I dig this, i think your design is really cool, some nice fuselages to cover up the wings edges, some smoother transitions, I think this build could go so much further! of course its your choice to do so, but just my opinion, really nice job!
Also to make you feel better, with calculations of the current corona virus infections and deaths, theres only around a 2-3% chance of dying, most people who have died are also an average age of 73 and have preexisting medical conditions. Compare that to the 8200 deaths and over 140,000 hospitalizations from the flu in the US. Its my point of view that a year is what you make it, you cant control what happens in the world, but you can control how you see it, either by realizing its not that bad, or perhaps you can work towards helping the problem.
I tried this, unfortunatly the fire buttons are not like the other buttons, where in Overload you can see the input for most parts, you cant on the cannons, I tried a few different input controls but non triggered the rotator, sorry i wish i could have helped
boxy - for trucks, hot rods, muscle cars
smooth - for racing, sport, japanese, etc.
I wouldnt say I like one more than the other because they both lend themselves towards a different style
it looks like your front wings are too far fowards, and your tail is pretty thick which will mess with your center of gravity, if you on PC press space or find the button that has a triangle with a line on top and 3 circles, this will show you the center of mass, lift, and thrust, my guess without downloading this thing is that your center of lift is in front of your center of mass, making it highly unstable and unflyable, move the wings back and see if that helps.
yes their is a mod, there is a recent one from gestour here (https://www.simpleplanes.com/Mods/View/773231/Lights) or an older one here (https://www.simpleplanes.com/Mods/View/522847/ISC_Spotlight-part)
sorry i forget how to make the text a hyperlink
When I can't think of something, I just start by building a base or body and let my mind run free, if your thinking more realistic than I think that a funky retro car would be cool, like a Yugo!
Hey i can help! i know im only bronze but my previous account was gold 15.1k and I've been playing for around 5-6 years now and I would love to lend you some help.
@Kaiserkydros That's cool, however aircraft like that seem to be ignored too commonly in the community, I would love to see you experiment with building your own creations and I'm here to help, don't judge that bronze 517, I've been playing this game for many many many years now and I will happily share my knowledge and experience with you.
try altering the "partcollisionresponse", if setting collisions to true doesn't work than the answer might lie somewhere in there ^ I myself don't really know how to edit that section as it is new but I'm sure it's in the dev post for 1.9
How about this, if you try and make a good base for the tank, I can help with the more tricky stuff and give advice to how you could improve upon your design? Don't take this the wrong way, I love to help, but I really feel that designing and building something is very much a trial and error process, and I feel like you would benefit more from more guidance than add-on's.
An actual question, why do you enjoy simpleplanes? Is it perhaps living out wild fantasies of engineering marvelous and wacky aircraft, or is it perhaps a far more simple reason.
@Azureworks just a tip, use the reply button of @(insertusernamehere) to notify people about a response, just makes things easier, I'm glad to help, if you need help knowing where to find anything or anything at all I'm usually here to help and I've been doing XML for a long time, let me know if you have any more issues :D
to color the engines you need to find primaryexhaustcolor or something like that and insert a hex color code, these can be found online with a simple google

+1if its a military bomber, i try to think of a non-flashy, cheap paint, maybe like a matte grey, beige, or green depending on what region you would like it to exist in.
hmm, well most shapes can already be made with combinations, but i think this would make things a bit easier, good idea!

+1truly a piece of engineering worth my precious upvotes.
+1@Gott Hmmm, T H O N K
+2@ThePilotDude I like this paragraph

+1He got c u r v e s
@ForeverPie i thought if you loaded the game and went back to the editor it would recenter the build automatically?
Yeah life sucks, things suck, thats just things, while not exactly an excuse for the things and the suck, you just kinda gotta go with the flow.
+1hmmmst, i think ill stick with my homebrew

+1@BlackBoA if this is your girl friend i suggest you go see a psychiatrist
+2change ordinance to air to air, click on grey box around aircraft, should highlight the aircraft + display name

absolutly, that thing looks awesome, the front bumper could be just a bit more elongated in my opinion, but totally awesome!
+1lots of fuselages, I still have an origional "sitting dummy" model that has since been deleted from the game. let me know if you would like it.
i would love to see you get that thing roll, definatly try it!
@thefalkenreich nice! it's so cool to hear everyones story and how we all stumbled to the same place
like a dream :D

@Sm10684 Opinions are subjecive
the tail could be a bit slimmer in my opinion, but pretty cool build, keep on building my dude!
+1doing some quick maths, this sphere has roughly 5.6 times the mass of our sun O_O
wheel
is the BB8 model yours? or did you just make the box
now THIS is quality content

this looks like if Gymkahana was sponsored and also have a 2005 ford GT40 laying around

this reminds me of something the airforce would of used to replace the SR-71 Blackbird in the new decade.
We're all dying, breathing just resets the timer...

XML modding, look for partscale, should read 1,1,1. adjust any of those 1's to change the length, width, heigth, etc.
thanks to airforceproud95 i can't hear the word "cessna" without seeing flocks of cessna's around 747's and A380's lmao
+1are you really a W A F F L E
I've been working on my own little soviet thing, i tagged you in an untitled post if you wish to take a peek :)
