@THEAIRCRAFTCRAFTER . I personally prefer building my stuff from scratch. Feel like a lego builder tasked to fix a real car when i do that... very intimidating... I still welcome other people to use or modify my stuff though :D
@Vidal99977 - appreciate the upvote. What I could recommend is either making a more detailed version, or maybe a C-5 Variant with different Model 985 Type fighters. The full details are in the Declassified documentation in the description of this plane. I'd be more than happy to fly it :D
@THEAIRCRAFTCRAFTER - yep - I posted the original video in the plane's description. @atgxtg has provided the original document too! Which is fantastic :D
@atgxtg PERFECT!! THANK YOU!!! I originally made the plane based in the video I posted in the plane's description, but you provided me with the original plans! Thanks you so much!!
@Tang0five - So far I have not. It's not that I don't know how or haven't thought about it. I feel that they add additional weight when it comes to in game physics. I will try one later on though...
Looks amazing! However I have to note that the plane's wings fall apart when flying at top speed (when in open wing). A common problem among swing-wing aircraft in this game. My suggestion is to add a little structure on the joints on the wings. You can check out the swing-wing aircraft in my collection to see what I mean...
@Tang0five - I made these planes a while back and need to keep them for backup because I've lost a butt-load of planes once my PC had failed before.
I'm using 3 view sheets in order to keep them as accurate as possible, using little to no XML editting, and using the game's original parts as much as possible. Partially a challenge and mostly for fun. I will soon finish though.
Should you have any specific plane you wish to request, Tell me and I might give it a shot.
Thanks for your comments @S4P9! I had also started as a simple block-building plane. If I were you I would try out simple planes - simple concepts, Study how centre of gravity, lift and thrust work together works and when it doesn't. Grab some of the default planes in the game and tear them into pieces, see how they managed to make the parts, and try to mould as you go - Start simple, and the most important of all, enjoy :)
@S4P9 Glad you like it :). Just a bit of imagination and plent of movement of parts is key. However I'm still not happy with the gears, when landing, it can get a bit... rough...
@Khanskaya Thanks for your comments. Unfortunately I find carrier landings in this game to be a bit too simple. If they at least introduce arrest-wires, it would be awesome.
@Tang0five Thanks. My plan wasn't 100% accuracy. More like as accurate as the game allows using it's vanilla tools. I know it can look off sometimes, but hey - simple planes is the game no? xD

the concept is very fascinating, and was not too hard to make for this game... if only there was a magnet mod of sorts to collect your planes...
side note: I am looking forward to unveil the Delta, Vitac, Canard and VSW variants i made... once they fix my internet connection...
Flies very nicely! And lands much smoother than my version. Keep up the good work!
+1Would have been awesome If you could control all 4 planes, 1 at a time... Very rewarding to see all 4 deployed at the same time xD

Very nice try! Very smooth flyer too

Here are the schematics of the whole project. Page 33 you will see the idea they had in mind on gears & Other landing solutions.

@atgxtg Thanks for the info - I followed the specs you gave me - and remade the plane: https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/6f92Bb/Model-985-20-Arrow
@Mickk I will be remaking this plane - got the schematics of the plane by @atgxtg. Feel free to make a variation or carrier for this one if you wish
@THEAIRCRAFTCRAFTER - yep - I posted the original video in the plane's description. @atgxtg has provided the original document too! Which is fantastic :D
@Djorg708 By All means! Feel free :) As long as you do proper credit, I don't mind at all.

a Beaut to fly - Would have liked a usable cockpit view - like a simple camera would do
Gorgeous Beaut!

Flies like a beauty, and love its simplicity. Personally I would still give it gears for versitiliy.
@Kennedypancake There is no gyroscopes on this plane. All control is done using the game's nozzles.

+1Gorgeous!!! Flies and looks like a beaut!! However I am finding it hard to land it... seems rather flimsy round the wheels...
Fantastic Build!! Keep up the good work!!
Great job! Love how inside opens for the missles! Keep up the good work!
+1Very good attempt!
+1@ShiptyTheLucario Thanks for your input, I made this a bit too fast and I skipped a few details. I will sort it out and re-upload it.

@Tang0five Thanks for letting me know! I still leave them publically available for whoever wants to try them out ;).

@Tang0five Thanks :). Unfortunately I'm limited to 3 uploads every 24 hours... Got about 40 other aircraft to upload for backup purposes...
@Paarthurnax - Just a touch of rudder control on take off - It's the back wheels that's causing the issue...
@Chancey21 Thanks :) Enjoy flying, very smooth!
