I think you should be careful doing that, in all respect, and make it clear that you arent using your moderator voice, as it were. With the red moderator status box you carry the weight of your position and stating personal opinions in that manner could cause confusion. Besides which, there is nothing in the rules regarding posting that counter indicates what I did here, as you have conceded. I get your point that posting incomplete builds can be abused and be a wee bit spammy, but then why have the WIP tag at all, then? Isnt this all just a bit of fun? @EternalDarkness
With all due respect, it is tagged as a WIP. Could you please show me the guideline that defines when a WIP is a WIP and when a teaser is a teaser and furthermore when it is expected to post what where? @EternalDarkness
Thanks, komrade! Ive been there twice. It was cool (Beijing and Chengdu). Didnt see a single An-2, though. But then again I wasnt looking too closely. @f10025
Spin as in spin. One wing is stalling and forcing her out of controlled flight. But its ok - its the low speed handling that is sketchy. Once up to speed she handles quite nicely - if a little heavy. But overall this is an awesome build! @Zippy6
I like this a lot! But I have one or two comments; 1- the trim is reversed from what one would usually expect. 2- with even a little positive elevator input she wants to enter a spin. Is this happening for anyone else?
"Airframe Construction:
Wings are of an unequal span single bay biplane design, all metal construction, with fabric covering.
Fuselage is of all-metal stressed skin semi-monocoque construction. Tail is a braced all metal structure with fabric covering. Wing area is 770 square feet total.
Note: wings have full length leading edge slats and ailerons droop with flap actuation to provide great STOL performance."

I'm pretty sure these guys don't agree with you. Next.
@Chancey21 Again - not for me she doesn't. There is a miniscule auto roll to the left, but nothing that makes her anywhere near un-flyable. As for the COM - she will land and stop within her own length and take off again in not much longer and she holds level flight with very little nose up trim - sorry - I don't see where you're coming from here, mate.
Domo arigato! I took some lessons, but it was a long time ago. I think you would make a great Komet and you are much better than I was at 4,000 points. @otayahiromo8211
Spasiba. Engine is based on capitalisti Wright Cyclone. But this model built in factory in Kiev, by superior quality babushkas. Runs on vodka. Like superior quality babushkas. Wings made from inferior Uzbeki alloy, like superior quality babushkas, but is overall acceptable. @CustomAircraftMods
Very good. Tag me?@HistoricBirds
Nope. Ave Imperitor? No?
For The Emperor!

There is an Emperor. He Protects.
God, the Sci Fi world really has become homogenos, hasnt it? @Notaleopard
Ok; it is from a Sci Fi franchise that has games, books, films, whole websites dedicated to it and also a penchant for powered armour.
Nope, it aintva Pelican or a Hornet. @Notaleopard
Ok, top tip; It is from a popular Sci Fi franchise. So, fictional, but not my design.
Sorry, no. @Notaleopard
Nope. @HadenB

Ok... Where do I get that from? @LotterCrafts
So Im guessing a combined rocket/jet propulsion system? Since jets are all well and good on Earth, but not so in vaccum / on Mars?
+1What heresy is this!?!?!?

+1You know, if I had used the earlier Spit as a basis the resemblence would have been uncanny. As it is, it still resembles one. @TifftheCat
I find this vehicle to be well within the rules. And awesome.
Your’e in, old boy.
+1Very cool. Now we have two entries. Game on!
Any More?
Very nice.
Although on reflection I might be biased (having produced at least 75% of the spitfires lately). @F104Deathtrap
There cannot be enough Spitfires. There is also a Spitfire challenge on right now. @F104Deathtrap
Ah. So you write it «spasibo» and not «spasiba»? Cool! Now I can speak Russian! Spasibo, komrade! @getorge
I write what, now? @getorge
