Yeah, the website makes zero sense. Sometimes a crap build with an ok cockpit receives a ton of support while really impressive builds like this one don’t get much. I’ve come to realize that I don’t build for points anymore, I’m predicting that I’ll get no more then 30 or 40 upvotes on my next upload. But that’s fine with me, I upload for entertainment for those who actually care about it. @Urocyon

Whatever, it's your build I guess. Good luck... @meteorbook345

  • I have slammed my head into the floor 3.0 years ago

In some situations they are. When building a wing with hollowed gear wells there are a few other mthods that prove to be more successful. However, on a meteor, I believe they are obviously the best method. The wing section between the engine and body can be done using a simple airfoil method. But the wing on the outside of the engine can easily be done with the triangle mthod and can be done to look smoother and cleaner. How is the triangle technique worse then what you've done? @meteorbook345

  • I have slammed my head into the floor 3.0 years ago

You need to do the real airfoil technique. Preferably the triangle method. It would help prevent that ugly hump in the middle of your wing. BogdanX's newest meteor demonstrates the best wing method for this particular aircraft.

Hmm, I guess you have a point. I wish jundroo would just go ahead and add the realistic aircraft tires with the straight treads running alongside the wheel, or basically the default street wheels. But yeah they are actually closer in size to real life aircraft then I would have thought. @Thecatbaron

  • ~Tube~ 3.1 years ago

Beautiful mig-15 style build I see, but one tip on the wheels, this may be personal preference but I think rounded wheels look better and also if they are thicker. Super thin wheels look terrible and like they could never support the weight of the aircraft. But otherwise it looks super hawt

  • North American T-2C Buckeye 3.1 years ago

I don’t use the metric system sorry 😂but the only thing I sorta messed up on is the stall speed. The wiki said the stall speed is about 99mph, and I managed to get that result, but now I’m thinking t meant 99 mph with full flaps. And I got that speed without any flaps. So that’s sorta the most inaccurate part of the flight model. But the takeoff speed should be pretty accurate, I just made it about 15 mph more then the stall speed, and so it lifts off the ground at about 115 mph. And So yes I did sorta assume the takeoff speed. But yes this airplane may be fairly maneuverable but I tried to avoid making something that flies like a brick that people call “realistic”, I see that way too much on the website anymore. When in reality, for most aircraft, it will perform much better then you’d imagine if you simply push that yolk as far as you can in any direction. If you actually apply 10 or 15 lbs of force to that yolk it will do what you want it to do. @Kangy

Massive mistake of not using fuselage slicing for the hollow gear wells. It would have been extremely easy to do as well.
