@oan124 yeah steep hills are a pain, now obviously if you watched the anime Uban star racers you'll see they don't really climb hills, but at the same time, I tried my damndest to get that kinda stuff right, sadly with the game only being able to give one place of measurements off the cockpit, it gets kinda tricky to triangulate things, that's why if you go through the inputs of all the thrusters, you'll see that almost everything is based on linear and angular measurements, but hey if you find a way to triangulate AltitudeAgl and the distance of the nearest face or angle of terrain, please tell me, I'm begging you please tell me
What I used in the past was HeliRotors but recently I started using a thruster with the input set to 0.1 and the engine to 10
(Activate4) - ((AltitudeAgl/10) + (rate(AltitudeAgl/2))
And this works great for me
@DJ2keroni I will do such, I'm currently rebuilding my whizzing arrow that I built years ago cuz I realized the creation I was so proud of is actually dog doodoo, but if it's helping with hovering and stability, I'm your guy
@Driftman2020 honestly I just downloaded and orthographic projection and used the oblique views image import function and then.... a lot of painful hours screaming at myself for taking this challenge..... and a scientific calculator and a college textbook on trig and area calculations
@RankStarfish201 well first things first, I'll rip out the engine and rack in a turbo rumbler, second imma pump up the back wheels so they slide real nice like and then I'll drop the thing like newborn so its scapes the lowest of speedbumps and then, just for the heck of it... wide body kit
I highly suggest you take a look at my hover vehicles and rip them apart for help with hover mechanics
I also made adjustments, yes it's not your style of hover but this can help you

To everyone who says the steering wheel is on the wrong side... it looks fine to me.
Love the build and detail to the structural frame, would love to use it but I would kill my phone...
@RankStarfish201 oh yeah no I get you, I'll admit I made some mistakes and missed some details, the stingray is not a SP friendly car at all, or any car with smooth curves for that matter
@Wi1dSk7 thanks, it was a pain to build and yeah, when I discovered funky trees I instantly built better hover vehicles, before I used heli rotors with boosted ground effect (check my latest hover bike)
@RankStarfish201 NGL bro... this build was a pain in my ass... to understand why, just look at the numbers I had to use on thos wheel wells to get them smooth, I sat here with a calculator and a piece of paper to get this right.... but tha k you for the challenge, I'm not sure when imma get the nova done but I will one day
@GCPrototypes yeah but what I really want is a half fuselage that k can use as wheel wells and a 45° flat beveled corner for the fuselage, would make a lot of things so easy
@GCPrototypes probably not....but maybe it, if you could crack into the system files for the fuselage mesh texture, you could maybe get it right
(but this is coming from someone who knows nothing about programming)
@Baldeagle086 ok fair enough
And as for why over water
Let's say you're exploring a planet with no visible land, just water..... also cuz in SP the water is the only place where you can really put the throttle down on a hover racer
So @Baldeagle086 ....
You say true hover is impractical huh....useless huh..... well I'd like to see your wheeeels slash over the water at 300+kmh
And if you wanna argue that its difficult....hehe... look at most of my creations, especially my bikes.....boi
Also I'm about half way dont with making this thing hover
PS. The gyro was unstable cuz the creation is waaaayyyyyy tooo light for jow strong the gyro is

Oh I know exactly what to do with this
I wanna make it hover......
@Zanedavid Idk honestly...
@AWESOMENESS360 many thanks
What I used in the past was HeliRotors but recently I started using a thruster with the input set to 0.1 and the engine to 10
+2(Activate4) - ((AltitudeAgl/10) + (rate(AltitudeAgl/2))
And this works great for me
@DJ2keroni I will do such, I'm currently rebuilding my whizzing arrow that I built years ago cuz I realized the creation I was so proud of is actually dog doodoo, but if it's helping with hovering and stability, I'm your guy
Finally someone who's hover mechanics rival even mine
@Driftman2020 honestly I just downloaded and orthographic projection and used the oblique views image import function and then.... a lot of painful hours screaming at myself for taking this challenge..... and a scientific calculator and a college textbook on trig and area calculations
@210100 same goes for my hover creations in the past, absolute luck, then they added funky trees and now it's just "simple" programming
@210100 I got lucky with the balance
This is sexy... I like
@RankStarfish201 well first things first, I'll rip out the engine and rack in a turbo rumbler, second imma pump up the back wheels so they slide real nice like and then I'll drop the thing like newborn so its scapes the lowest of speedbumps and then, just for the heck of it... wide body kit
@RankStarfish201 well I never built a C10 but I've built an F100 with a wide body kit and dropped suspension
I highly suggest you take a look at my hover vehicles and rip them apart for help with hover mechanics
I also made adjustments, yes it's not your style of hover but this can help you
http://www.simpleplanes.com/a/K6AH3U/tug-bug-adjusted-auto-balancing-and-AltitudeAgl-control
@Dpdfuzz many thanks, I wanted to keep the original V8 so I shoved it in the back
@JJFiRe44 all my hover vehicles tread water like gods, some are just iffy about getting onto the water... gotta be gentle
I made it hover.... also smoothed out the body work a lot
This one too....
I'm gonna rip this one apart too... I'll give my opinion once I'm done
This is unique AF, I'm gonna rip this apart to see how it ticks.....
@GrFrog no problem, and if you got any other hover projects, just hmu and I'll make her fly
Omg a beetle, upvote, favorite and download
Time to make it drift....its my thing I guess
@Craigdimension4 oh I know that, I'm not making some anime chick, it's it's for something different entirely
@Driftman2020 idk
@Driftman2020 idk bro, I saw a sick drifter mini drawing on pinterest and was like yeee imma build that
To everyone who says the steering wheel is on the wrong side... it looks fine to me.
+1Love the build and detail to the structural frame, would love to use it but I would kill my phone...
@Driftman2020 I have, I've watched so many vids but never had the means or opportunity to play either
@Craigdimension4 oooooo its mainly programming of the hinged joints that I neeed
@Driftman2020 k
+1@Driftman2020 they are similar in shape I think
Does it drift?
I'm gonna make it drift like a god
@GrFrog I like your design but it could use some touch ups so imma modify it up a bit and make it hover
Oh my goodness, like this a lot
@RankStarfish201 if you haven't done anything to the wheel's settings then just push the Trim up for some steering assistance
@RankStarfish201 you lucky f* **er, all I got are blueprint drawings, btw which nova will you be doing cuz I'm doing the yenko model, I find it sexy
@PapaKernels ..... tears in my eyes thank you
@RankStarfish201 yes please, honestly I reached the block limit on my phone so do what you want, it is your car in any case
The engine isn't mine either ^^ so other guy needed help
@RankStarfish201 well darn... I hope you like the stingray
Bit imma just build the nova too, lil bit of competitive spirit
@RankStarfish201 NGL bro... this build was a pain in my ass... to understand why, just look at the numbers I had to use on thos wheel wells to get them smooth, I sat here with a calculator and a piece of paper to get this right.... but tha k you for the challenge, I'm not sure when imma get the nova done but I will one day
@Baldeagle086 .....huh...yeah, like the salt flats
+3@GCPrototypes yeah but what I really want is a half fuselage that k can use as wheel wells and a 45° flat beveled corner for the fuselage, would make a lot of things so easy
@GCPrototypes probably not....but maybe it, if you could crack into the system files for the fuselage mesh texture, you could maybe get it right

@Baldeagle086 ok fair enough
And as for why over water
Let's say you're exploring a planet with no visible land, just water..... also cuz in SP the water is the only place where you can really put the throttle down on a hover racer
@GCPrototypes probably import a textured skin file into the game that messes if up for anyone on ios
So @Baldeagle086 ....
You say true hover is impractical huh....useless huh..... well I'd like to see your wheeeels slash over the water at 300+kmh
And if you wanna argue that its difficult....hehe... look at most of my creations, especially my bikes.....boi

@GCPrototypes slow clap
