Guys, i just realised, because the cockpit begins with zero drag due to clipping, the only force acting on it is gravity. the cockpit is naturaly boyant.
drag increases when entering water so water wont affect the speed of the cockpit however the cockpit will float along the top.
¦
what im trying to say is crash your plane into the top of the water at top speed and the cockpit will travel at that speed indefinitly
here is a better version, complete with all the bells and whistles (and bombs)

check this out for a low drag craft. just remove the engine and place the wings over the com

@Garuda1 i've reached my upload limit today but tomorrow i will be posting one with only 31 drag points, that can reach 740 mph in level flight. completely unmodded (except a 45 degree rotation of a fusilage block, purely aesthetic)
@Kimo hey, i've just created a varient of this glider, hope you don't mind. i've included your craft and name in the description though :D please check it out.
@Brields95 @SalemASaberhagen how about this plane to operate at high speeds for long distances making use of glider techniques
https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/a5REc8/Dusk-Glider
@Brields95 yes, as you see in all my planes, it can help with gliders to have the CoL higher than the CoM so that pitching back is easier. however for the best results the CoM, CoC, and CoT should be in line facing the direction of thrust.
there is a tutorial that shows the point system in its entirety

omg, i actually remember this XD
i have some photos on dropbox, the GP store comments were hillarious

@Skua ty skua, its ok with me aslong as he doesnt claim its his own
@Titansteam thanks :)
@Jaredis2 thanks :)
@Earthbenderrwefa thank you.
very nice, looks like the russian Sukhoi SU-47
@ValtsuAircraftIndustries i think ii made a non powered one with 16 points, it handles better but falls out the sky at 50
sorry, how the fuck is this 'my take', you've added guns and thats all.

im not sure its physicaly possible to get lower on a similar plane @kikasshes
@gonny i dont think most of my planes include any of the new features XD
@gonny ok then :)
not in the new update? @gonny
@Cresand im glad you like it :)
move the CoM further forwards otherwise it flat-spinns
is it supposed to not take off?

i will be uploading a better version soon but there is the prototype :)

try this for low drag
https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/JuvrK7/Lowest-Drag
how about this for drag?
https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/JuvrK7/Lowest-Drag
practicaly the same speed as mine, just more drag, https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/JuvrK7/Lowest-Drag
im late but take a look at this, https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/JuvrK7/Lowest-Drag

2284?
try 31

its ok, i couldnt do it myself XD, i got the basic design but details screwed it and it couldnt land or takeoff from water
...You spelt plane wrong.

@Allstar i do, i spend several hours on one design varient of a design
mine will be uploaded tomorrow :)
@Garuda1 forgot to mention, it can fly for over 30 min :)

@Jonpope02 @shinycrystal136
good lady, i too challenge you to a duel. may the best designer win.

@ValtsuAircraftIndustries its a nice design and its quite nimble. it was one of the first i downloaded :)
@ValtsuAircraftIndustries true, however due to its wingspan it can glide at ~40 mph
