@AWESOMENESS360 I think this aggressiveness is unnecessary, I'm sorry if civilian was not the best choice.
.
When we added the experimental category it was intended to cover things that aren't planes (a grabbable RPG, a spaceship, a mini-game...). We discussed what name should be used (random, miscellaneous...) but decided to use Experimental.
.
Again, sorry if that was not the best of the decisions.
Although this is an experimental craft, the Experimental category is "for crazy wacky ideas, those that don't fall into any other reasonable category but that". I see where the confusion comes from but this craft doesn't fit that description. I'm going to change the tag to Military. Sorry for the annoyance.

@JuanNotAnAlt it could fit experimental if you make it possible to be grabbed from the ground. I know it's hard to pull off something like that without actually trying in VR, but I think it's possible to do using some of the new parts.
@Niyyo if you want that entry to be submitted follow the instructions above, as of right now that craft isn't part of the challenge. You can verify if your submission is correct by clicking the blue text in the categories names above, that will bring you to a list of the current entries.
@Brendorkus we are really busy and there're going to be potentially many crafts, and even if that wasn't the case, if devs and moderators picked the winner I think that could be a source of drama, while upvotes are an objective scoring method.
@Brendorkus @TodMakesStuff that's already been discussed in the comments, if you have any feasible alternative we'll consider it in future challenges. How do we pick the judges? Won't them be biased?.
Btw, if you don't want what you said to happen it's in your hand to go upvote those small creators you like and spread the word, share the craft, sportlight it...
@rexzion same I said to TheSeventh, it's the most feasible way that doesn't reauire adding a new voting system to the webpage, using an external platform or going though all comments filtering what is a vote and what not
@TheNightmareCompany you don't need VR to join these challenges! Just build something VR capable (scaled to fit a person, with detailed and/or interactive interiors and a camera there to fly in fpv)
@Random04 not necessarily, as stated in the description, just a cool craft with weapons, could be sci-fi, a modern craft, an old WWII plane, you call it
@Random04 you don't need it to submit entries to this challenge, just add a camera where the player would go and make a nice cockpit (or whatever that fits the theme, a motorcycle like the one in the gif you have in the bio would be sick in VR)
TLDR: Yes, I'm a dev, if you don't know me it's because I work on SR2 but came here to start 3 challenges for crafts with less than 350 parts that are compatible with first-person gameplay (military, civil and experimental crafts). The score will be based on upvotes but by lowering the part-count even more you can get bonus points. There are some really cool prizes so make sure to add the correct tags to your craft to participate in these challenges, ending November 15th 00:00 UTC.
@BellKitsu if you have permission from the original creator yes
I'm changing the tag to the military since the craft doesn't meet the requirements for the Experimental category. Sorry for the inconvenience.
@SimpleAreospace we are giving a key for SPVR, not SP.
If you want this craft to join the challenge please submit it to the Military category, it won't be considered for Experimental.

Smallish hint, the price is stated here

@WiiSmol sure! You won't be able to submit them to the challenge though.

@3 correct, thanks for the clarification
@Willham no, you won't need a PC if you buy it in the Oculus Quest store
@Sjwnwbwnjwjwjjw thanks for reporting it, we'll look into what's going on with that
@KfcGaming I don't have time to give custom feedback for the crafts every user makes, so I won't make distinctions, I'm sorry
@Sjwnwbwnjwjwjjw what device do you use and what specs does it have?

@Thelegitpilot13 nah, as long it fits the military vibes it's ok
@TodMakesStuff sorry meant to ping ChrisPy

Please, submit your entry to just one of the categories, either military or experimental
@Darkrisese nice attention to detail hahahaha
As stated in the blog post:
So please, pick just one category or your craft won't be eligible.
@RamboJutter the challenge is for normal SP, but it's about making crafts that would fit SP VR, so basically, efficient crafts with nice interiors
@AWESOMENESS360 by reading the post and doing what it says
@Sm10684 sure!
Just found what was going with the VR tag, you should see it now, can someone confirm?
@Richflysplanes Remember to add the tags for it to count
@BaconEggs if you have any alternative please let me know, so we can consider using it if we do more challenges
I've added the VR tag, don't forget to add it if you submit more entries!
@MrShenanigans these are 3 challenges
@Nerfaddict I have no idea who you are either, so I guess we are on the same page
@rexzion same I said to TheSeventh, it's the most feasible way that doesn't reauire adding a new voting system to the webpage, using an external platform or going though all comments filtering what is a vote and what not
@xNotDumb yeah, thing is, I am dumb and did that on purpose
@LotusCarsSub you can submit cars, tanks, bipedal robots or whatever as long as it fits the rules
@TheNightmareCompany you don't need VR to join these challenges! Just build something VR capable (scaled to fit a person, with detailed and/or interactive interiors and a camera there to fly in fpv)

We have pushed the deadline by a week
