@TheGliderGuy Thanks for featuring my plane!
I think gliders are pretty underrated in general, because compared to sleek fighter jets and airliners, gliders tend to look small and boring.
However, the moment you fly a glider, you get a feeling of exhilaration unable to replicate anywhere else.
It can’t go fast, it can’t do extreme manoeuvres, it can’t shoot missiles.
But all the while, there’s that feeling of immense happiness. The feeling of being in complete control of your plane, the feeling of having the entire world spread across in front of your dashboard, the feeling of being at complete peace.
This, is something I felt flying your glider, and then mine, for the first time.
I will admit that before challenging myself to make a glider, I was also like many others, thinking: Oh, gliders are boring, they all look the same. I’d never sit in one for five hours doing nothing.
However, all that completely changed when I flew these gliders for testing. Now, unlike my other creations, my glider is something that I actually want to fly around the French Alps map whenever I can.
Takeaway from this? It is only when people experience gliding on their own, that they can truly understand why so many people have such a burning passion for the sport.
Edit: Will I build another glider? I doubt I will, since I have other plans. Also, I’m really satisfied with my G-07 since I went all out on it, and that glider will accompany me for a very, very long time.
@DanielJoeer it’s a bit sad; in Asia the swastika is a symbol of peace and used in many religions without any issues, but because of the Nazis, tourists now get offended whenever they go to a temple and see a swastika on a statue
@LM0418 China has a population of 1.4 billion, and it’s the world’s most populous country behind only India. So naturally the most players come from China
As a dev famously said, SimplePlanes is a game where you put blocks together and fly them.
This game was supposed to be an entry point for people who weren’t familiar with aerodynamics, and those who really wanted ultra-realistic stuff could play KSP or actual flight simulators. Hence the “Simple” in the name.
The thing is that the game’s managed to attract many more skilled people, hence you often see high-quality builds. But in truth, builds that aim for “realism” are really stretching this 8-year old game to the limit.
So TL:DR, true realism isn’t possible, and it wasn’t supposed to be.
@florky do you live in the Phillipines? If so, I think your country blocked all image hosting sites, which is why you won’t be able to access them
The sound is so realistic, good job! Can I use this engine on my future aircraft?
@florky uhh… here’s the link to the image
@WaterFlavouredSpitfires @Sense2 our humble country is open to tourists anytime!

+1@V you don’t leave SP, SP leaves you

@Aviator720 it should appear on all devices, but anyways, here are the photos.
