@RankStarfish201 (keep quiet about this one, just you and me on the down-low... I'm making a trip to the store for a new bag of bread soon, maybe tonight?)
@JAKS Hey, cars in this game need three basic elements. A car engine, resizable wheels, and fuel. Everything to make it drive is in the wheel's settings, including grip, steerability, and engine connections. Once you get more advanced, you can start making suspension systems using the shock and hinge Rotator parts. Hopefully that helps you!
@JAKS all devices now come with the overload mod installed, so head into your mod menu (in the main menu) and activate er. Then, in the bottom right near your play button, a new button should appear. That is your overload menu. (From there, look for a "scale" section, and change the xyz to your desired size.) Hope that helps!
@Sm10684 Hey, would you be bothered if I also put my build into that Vr-based challenge as well? I sort of made it vr-compatible for kicks and giggles thus far, but it looks d* sexy
@DEN12345 ah, I see. Heh, that makes a lot of sense now. My whole plan with the trailer/truck releasing side by side was to spawn it in as an AI vehicle, then hook up from there. It allows you to pick up one, drop it off, and grab another one. But hey, either way works, and it's pretty funny when it coincides like that
@P7VDS Easiest way I can think of is take off the cockpit block, save the whole build as a sub assembly, then re-download the initial challenge and swap the cockpit block to the new one. Post again, and it should work. It's easier to do then say, that's for certain.
@DEN12345 one last thing that I only noticed while testing... Don worry about powering it and controllabilty, I got that bit covered. Otherwise, when spawning it in, you get a self-aware trailer.
@DEN12345 Well, I can't tell you what car it's for just yet, as I haven't finished or posted it. However, I can give a hint. Think off road, and a cross between a semi and your average 90's pickup. As for the preferable purpose, cargo/utility is the main idea, so all good there. However, any kind of trailer will do for the challenge.
You sir, have just bridged the gap between what I've been told and what I understand. I never would've thought that the output shaft runs freely underneath the gears, and uses a hub/clutch system. Thank you.
@Arandomburrito Basically, I use the overload mod (comes standard on all android or pc versions). There's a line when you open the wheel's settings called maxAngularVelocity. Change that from 300 to anywhere around 20 for a slower, heavy machinery type feel. At least, that's about the easiest way to do it. Hope that helps!
@TheBlueRobotProduct He's including the spoiled milk that they keep putting out today and calling Star Wars I think

...well folks, we have a new highest updooted record for my profile on our hands
Edit: Ho-ly ** why how when whaaaaaaaa
@Chaka shhhhhhh...
+1@PyroFizz you can never really guess what you'll find next on SimplePlanes, and that's a fact.
+1@MrShenanigans sorry, I got hungry... I'll run to the store and get another loaf tho, aight?
No longer a wok in progress I hope?
+2Hey, should the trailer and tractor be spawned separately or together? (Looks quite nice, so good job)
+1Huh... seems... familiar...
(By all means tho, yours definitely looks better... mine don fly worth nothing)
Congratulations, your toaster has surpassed mine in power and strength, as well as community support

Creator approved!
@Sm10684 thanks, appreciate it. Anyways, you can still expect an entry from me!
@parkrangerjerry @Sm10684 oh dang, my bad. I may have read it wrong. Oh well, it makes top speed much easier at least
(Definitely didn't start to build a seaplane)
Y'know, it's been a while since I made a decent plane. I'll see what I can do, definitely interested to see what happens.
@RailfanEthan legit tho, yes. Absolute tank. Next build maybe?
@SpartanDelta1 Replace the back tires with new ones and max out the engine, make it same-day delivery lol
@asteroidbook345 yesh
RUMPST
@TheDesignate No worries, was looking for a new build to get me out of a stump anyways
@Lari200km Thanks, I do appreciate it. If you're interested, check out some of my other builds.
@VolcanicAsh heh, sorry about that. Still new to trying custom thumbnails. It gives a real funky FOV so I was trying to find the better angles to use.
@P7VDS Heh, no worries. Glad you enjoyed it as much as I did.
I'm definitely joining this one.
@FlyingPatriot lol, it was a joke
What about toggle-able speed limiters for wheels? That, or a snorkel for shallow rivers
+5@DEN12345 Hey, I thought 10 was fair for an interesting challenge. Anyways, hope you enjoy your winnings!
+1@DEN12345 all upvotes have been dispersed, as the challenge states.
@DEN12345 @TheDesignate @skyy @JJcoolRamos @P7VDS @TheMiC
+2@jamesPLANESii @BeastHunter
In all fairness, it is not often I check the forums, plus I haven't been the most active lately. But thanks!
+1@2008abdupro I find custom/fictional builds don't do so well for those who have a lower point score. However, I'm glad you could be the first!

+1@DEN12345 ah, nvm it. I guess I didn't understand your previous one either, I haven't a clue as to what you really meant there. Oh well
@DEN12345 Heh, thank goodness we can spawn things in separately and have it work still, eh?
@DEN12345
+1@P7VDS in the middle of the frame, rear most cross brace. Tiny little thing it is, and it's tucked away inside.
@P7VDS Easiest way I can think of is take off the cockpit block, save the whole build as a sub assembly, then re-download the initial challenge and swap the cockpit block to the new one. Post again, and it should work. It's easier to do then say, that's for certain.
@P7VDS Hey, I'll let it slide. It's a fun challenge afterall, so thanks!

It may be a fast build, but it still gets an upvote from me.

@DEN12345 man, I didn't know that. Thanks!
+1Thanks for the entry!
@Nanta02 That is all correct, thanks for asking!
+1You sir, have just bridged the gap between what I've been told and what I understand. I never would've thought that the output shaft runs freely underneath the gears, and uses a hub/clutch system. Thank you.
@Thunderhawk it seems to be rather good at the latter, and maybe I could perhaps make a flying version...
