@Notapier Damn right I remember you. I'm still around and check by time to time. I just don't participate and upload to the community as much anymore. How have you been? You've got some real great builds lately.
@TheLatentImage Hey bud, thanks for the concern. All is well with me, and I appreciate the kind words. I'm still playing the game and checking on the website every now and then, but I've been on sort of a hiatus from participating in the community.
@iiRazor @UnknownNate I never stopped building and playing. I've just stopped uploading and participating in the online community. I still check in every once in awhile, though.
@Irobert55 Sorry, but you are mistaken. The plane had several designations. I used the German Air Ministry's (Reichsluftfahrtministerium) designation listed as the Ho-229. But you are correct in saying that the plane is also known as the Horton H.IX and the Gotha Go 229.
@Geebers They tweaked the reflective effects of gloss, semi-gloss, and flat paint. Now you can adjust the graphics settings so that your shiny paint can reflect the terrain/cloud/water in real-time. The paint schemes and colors to chose from are all still the same as before.
@Geebers Its terrific but not perfect. The new elements of the game are very fun, but do not always work as designed. The main reason is the AI of enemies in dog fighting and racing. They are not the smartest computer-controlled enemies and often times crash themselves into the ocean or cliffs. So not only are you dog fighting to line up a good shot, you also gotta fly in a way that keeps the AI alive long enough so can actually shoot it yourself! But still, it is extremely fun and just shows how far this game has progressed in only a year! You'll dig it, no doubt.
@GINGER007 I made the mobile version unlisted because I don't really like uploading the same plane multiple times and double dipping for points. I think its kinda cheap. You'll have to copy and paste the link on your mobile browser to get to the plane. You can't find it by going to my user page. https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/oN3B22/P-47D
@GINGER007 Hmm, you sure? The link above brought me to the mobile version. They look exactly the same, but the mobile has no guns. It has 'pipes' and custom made bombs instead of the actual working new guns and bombs.
Here's Guts n' Glory without the new update parts. It should work for your mobile device now. Let me know if it doesn't. https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/oN3B22/P-47D
Without a doubt this has to be made into some sort of futuristic, low orbit, SCRAMjet. @AeroEngineering is right, a delta wing configuration is the best option to finish this kind of sky-piercing nose. Perhaps something like this http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-lzmb0oZ2Rww/VSqK_3lA2AI/AAAAAAAA82k/Ww-Tt9NQeHI/s1600/lockheedboeingbomber.jpg
@MrBackstabby Yes, activatation groups 1-3 actually shoot the 105mm howitzer. If you switch the camera views to camera 1 (the gun sights) and aim at the ground, you'll see little explosions when you shoot the gun. But If you are too high in the sky you might not be able to see the explosions on the ground. I'll take a crack at a p-82, but it's gonna be a while. I dont have much time to play anymore.
@tominator I've hung up my wings for a little while. I am currently in the middle of a career change and moving so I don't have much free time to build right now. But I am still around and you can guarantee I'll be back in the swing of things and pumping out new planes soon.
@LordofLego I will most likely not make another variant of a C-130. After this one and especially after @Authros 's C-130J, I think the C-130 platform is officially retired among replica builders. But feel free to use this as a base for any variant you want to make! That's why I shared it after all!!
@RocketLL @GravityGun913 @Griffith Anything I make and upload is fair game to use by anyone! That's the whole point of sharing these creations, right? Just a little nod to the original creator is all that is expected and common courtesy.
@Bostin20 Brush up on some of your historical planes. The String-bag came in pontoon and wheeled variants. I built the wheeled version before this one (check my planes). And I built them months ago before all these new pieces and propellers came out (hence the jerry-rigged dummy prop). I probably won't make updated versions of these with the new pieces, but you're more than welcome to reupload these with any improvements you can make!
@JoshuaW A fantastic update to your classic from all those years ago!
+1Dang! Your planes have gotten wild! Great stuff!!!
+4@Topgun757 Thanks, I'm still around!
+1@NexusGaming Cheers, man. I appreciate it!
Pretty damn cool, man!
@JMicah4 Yeah, I come around and check the site every once and a while. I don't play much anymore. Life's getting too busy.

@Snap615 I'm still holding on
@arcues ya' mon
@JMicah4 Yes, I am.

I'm still around, and I still build. I just don't really participate in the community or upload anymore. @Planefun
Use the slider in the right of the screen. Drag it down with your mouse or finger @ChaMikey
@Geebers Here it is, sorry it took so long.

This is such a super clean replica. I love the cockpit dials, and I see you implemented my gun-sight design. Very nicely done!
@Geebers Yes, sorry its taking a while, I've been fairly busy. I'll really try to wrap it up and post it tonight.
@Geebers absolutely I can help you. Just post it as unlisted and send me the link to it.
Here's a link to the mobile version of my P-47D you asked for.
https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/oN3B22/P-47D
Heres the mobile version of Guts n' Glory. Let me know if the link works or not.
@Geebers Were you able to download the mobile version of the P-47D? Someone said the link took him to the PC Update version instead.

@Nightraider Absolutely! Go for it. They way I see it, anything uploaded is fair game as long as credit of the source is given.
@GINGER007 Hmm, you sure? The link above brought me to the mobile version. They look exactly the same, but the mobile has no guns. It has 'pipes' and custom made bombs instead of the actual working new guns and bombs.

@GINGER007 I have another P-47D that is mobile friendly. It has old school bombs and rockets. https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/h27uTY/P-47D-Thunderbolt
@qwerty10 Oh I am well aware of that. However, to get any sort of performance out of it in this game's physics, I used ailerons and elevators.
@Dstroyer101 You are correct, the Ho 229 was designed as a rather small wooden jet fighter. It was also designed with a large nose wheel.
@JacobHardy64 @Allstar Thanks, fellas. I'm still around, I just haven't had much free time to spend building planes lately.

@shootster06 I appreciate it! I'll have more time soon to start playing again.

@JMicah4 Are you talking about the rounded optic pod underneath the nose? I'm not quite sure what you are looking at here.
@planelover400 It might be a while until my next plane comes out. I got a lot on my plate in the real world as of now.
@ramjet Anything I make is fair game! Have at it.
@LordofLego I will most likely not make another variant of a C-130. After this one and especially after @Authros 's C-130J, I think the C-130 platform is officially retired among replica builders. Excellent work! I really like how it came out.
@Johawks1976 I'll post some teasers on the subreddit in a little while.
@Johawks1976 Thanks, budda man. Its soon to be out done by my latest bird coming soon.
@Wildblueyonder578 Thanks, man. This was one of my early attempts at XML modding but I think its one of my best looking planes.
@Astron1 No, I haven't. But you can bet your bottom dollar I will!

Excellent. And you retained the camo!
@karlosdarkness I noticed. The only down side would be losing the 'camo' paint job. Might have to opt for a more solid color scheme.
