I've been meaning to update this bird. Looks like now I don't have to! If you'd like, you can try to make another version of this but swap out the block pieces with the new fuselage pieces for the body of the plane. This will cut back the total part count and make it much more mobile friendly.
@PuhBuhGuh I hate to deny people their requests, but like @WalrusAircraft put it; I'm afraid this plane is retired as far as replica builders see it. There is no way anyone can do better than this Ju-88 and to even try would be a discredit to this beauty and WalrusAircraft. But you know I love my WWII bombers, so keep an eye out for other types!
@Geebers Yeah upload it as unlisted and post the link to the plane here (or private message me on reddit with the link if you don't want others to download it prematurely).
@Geebers A combination of both. I clipped nose cones into one another by re-positioning them via XML modding. Upload your plane privately so only I can download it and I'll put an insignia where you want it.
@JacobHardy64 @Geebers @Martijnproper Make sure the download is opening in the latest updated version of simpleplanes. I had the same issue on my PC. When I downloaded planes from the site, the file opened in the previous beta by default. Make sure you set the latest update as the default app to open downloaded planes. And remove the beta from your device.
@PuhBuhGuh Thanks for the kind words, my man! I haven't been in the #1 spot for a good while now. I think the rankings are quickly starting to resemble the notion of who can pump out the most planes in the quickest time. Sure there are a lot of great builders up there but they'll be over taken eventually by those who make many good planes as opposed to making just a few great ones. As for this plane, it actually came together rather quickly thanks to the new game pieces.
@XVIindustries some did, but later in production it adopted a bubble canopy after the Americans fell in love it when the Brit's redesigned their Spitty's.
@FIOu yes it did have a rudder but I was sort of forced to leave it out because I couldn't get it to look right due to the roundness of the vertical tail and the stripe on it.
@planelover400 soon, real soon. I have very little time to play now and this recent update caused a lot of problems with my P-47. It'll most likely be out by tomorrow
@LordofLego My best guess is that the changes in drag, lift, and air intake (essentially thrust and acceleration) that are part of the update effectively ruined the flight characteristics of some of my older (and beta) planes. The main differences I notice is that planes have become more nose heavy (like this 229 but I have no idea why it is extremely nose heavy now) and planes have lost air intake (my Frogfoot and CF-100 don't have full flame coming out of the engines).
@LordofLego oh damn this really sucks.... The most recent update broke it. It was flying perfectly in the secondary beta... As is evident by everyone else's reviews. This is one of the major drawbacks of updating the game; virtually all of my planes are broken now...
@LordofLego the beta/new update changed the drag and air intake system in the game so now this plane lists to one side and has decreased thrust. A lot of my planes (especially my prop planes) have become broken due to the new coming update...
@TheOwlAce Log on to Gumroad (where you got the game) and click on simpleplanes and view product. On that page you'll see a file to download called SimplePlanes_BetaTestersOnly_v1.2.7.1 Download and extract the files and run the app from there!
@Cedy117 @IMDABest Camera #2 is a new part that acts like a camera mode (a new view point) that you can place on your planes. I attached it to the back of one of the bombs so we could watch and follow it as it falls to the ground!! I didn't know it was available on iOS yet. From now on I won't include the camera parts in my beta uploads so you can enjoy them too!
@bjac0 hmm, try sending Andrew a message. I am pretty sure the beta is closed to new iOS testers now, but I believe Andrew is gearing up for the second round of changes/testing. Send him your email and he'll put you on the list.
@Notapier @JacobHardy64 thanks fellas! If any of you have the beta for any mobile device could you test her out for me and give me a rundown? I only have the beta on my PC.
@karlosdarkness I noticed. The only down side would be losing the 'camo' paint job. Might have to opt for a more solid color scheme.

Is there going to be any organization in terms of discussion topics? Or are all new threads just going to show up in one place?

Very nice! I was thinking about redoing mine from a while ago. But there's no way I can out do this beaut!
@Kevpilot Sure thing! I don't have a lot of requests for more modern planes. I get more for WWII and early cold war planes.
@Geebers Its all good. I just PM'ed you on reddit with a link to the plane with insignia.
@Notapier Sure am!
Is this the plane you want the insignia on?
@Geebers Yeah upload it as unlisted and post the link to the plane here (or private message me on reddit with the link if you don't want others to download it prematurely).
@Geebers It's all good, my man. This is the third time I've uploaded a Ho-229. I don't expect this to get much attention!
@Geebers A combination of both. I clipped nose cones into one another by re-positioning them via XML modding. Upload your plane privately so only I can download it and I'll put an insignia where you want it.
Very nice. The trim is nice and responsive and very controllable! Good one!!!

@PuhBuhGuh Not anytime soon. I think I am going to stick with just replicas for a while. Why can't you download them?
Man I love this! Those flap mechanisms are so immersive and awesome! It is this kind of innovation that makes replica builders the best!!! Keep it up!

@XVIindustries Oh I see what you're saying. Some sources describe it as razorback canopy, some call it a fuselage. Reckon both make sense.
@XVIindustries some did, but later in production it adopted a bubble canopy after the Americans fell in love it when the Brit's redesigned their Spitty's.
@Spikerya hey thanks, my man. And I love that show! Great requests, I'll look into them!
@FIOu yes it did have a rudder but I was sort of forced to leave it out because I couldn't get it to look right due to the roundness of the vertical tail and the stripe on it.
@Johawks1976 @IMDABEST I got a couple more WWII planes to get done that people have requested but I promise I have more modern planes on the way!
@thealban cheers, bud. Unfortunately the update effectively broke her so it doesn't fly great any more. Its a shame.

I dig it!
@Authros Glad to hear it works on mobile! I was worried the insignia on the wings wouldn't look right.
@Blu @mixhaelr @Teus @Rohan @Johawks1976 @AndrewGarrison @FIOu @ZFM99 @Allstarship Thanks fellas!
@WeeBabySeamus haha awesome! I can't wait for the sequel.
@Kikasshes I know, but it has nearly 2000 pounds of fuel!! These new engines are just super thirsty!!
@Astron1 Modifying the XML file of the plane and using detachers as the launching mechanism for the missiles (wing pieces).
@Astron1 I made them
Pretty clever using an engine as the nose piece. I'm currently working on your request for this. And I got big plans!
@Cedy117 Well color me impressed! That's some quality part clipping used for those red lightening bolts and tail flag!! I thought it was XML modded.
Excellent! Looks like you're getting the hang of XML modding! Now you just gotta refine your scaling a bit.
@Geebers Glad one of my crafts got you into the game!
@PuhBuhGuh oh right on, my man. Yeah I've certainly come a long way since this old heep of a jet.
@TheOwlAce I download the file, extract all, then use the application from that extraction.
@SpitfireS did you register for the iOS beta? Go to the subreddit and check it out.
@TheOwlAce You should have a gumroad account then. Log on and follow those directions. If not, I have no idea, sorry. Ask the Dev's.
@Gg1234 Already got a couple in the works with the new jet!
@TheOwlAce Log on to Gumroad (where you got the game) and click on simpleplanes and view product. On that page you'll see a file to download called SimplePlanes_BetaTestersOnly_v1.2.7.1 Download and extract the files and run the app from there!

@bjac0 did you sign up for it? I know iOS users had to give the Devs their email to receive beta access. Theres more info on the subreddit.
@Notapier @JacobHardy64 thanks fellas! If any of you have the beta for any mobile device could you test her out for me and give me a rundown? I only have the beta on my PC.
@NachoMan I was in the middle of writing it!! Y'all to fast for me haha.
@PlanesOfOld thanks, man. I had to XML mod the lightening bolts down the sides of my CF-100.
