Your post has been removed. Please read these rules about posting planes.
Please try to make major changes to a plane before posting it. Simply painting an object a different color, or adding a few guns is not enough to consider it your own. In the future please credit the original maker, and try to post your own work.
@MasterMindIndustriesAndAviationCorporation also because this is news related and is the kind of thing that belongs on a facebook status, than the SP site.
@Peridot saying that he manipulated other users is a bit of an over generalisation. In other words, he upvotes the stuff of new users, and while I can't say I approve of some of the things he upvotes (some were copies), he neither broke the rules or did anything inherently wrong.
@AviatorCleebo oh yeah... I'm all too familiar with the WoT chat. Pretty sure that game's rigged anyway, so i stopped playing it. There's no way I can lose so many games in a row in what is supposed to be random matchmaking. Think some guy did a whole study on it and concluded that something very odd was going on behind the scenes.
@TehDuck As mentioned before, I have expressed my opinions, but then I presented facts as to why I think such things. Also, you've done nothing but copy and paste half of the post. You haven't explained which parts are opinion. AND you still haven't addressed my comment. All you've done is taken what I said and put "opinion" under it. No dissection, no explanation, no nothing.
.
Anyhow, they are opinions based on facts... Also the fact you took my 90% so literally says it all.
@TehDuck I have dissected my own post and I'm encouraging you to do the same. But still you refuse... Instead, we should assume I can't see past my own arrogance. So, again, please enlighten me with facts as to why. Facts. It's really not difficult. You've gone this far but still you continue to insist on not presenting said facts. I'm afraid I have no choice but to break away from this discussion as I can't think of any other reason an individual would go out of their way this far, unless they are incapable of bringing up such things.
.
As for going on about things that aren't to do with the initial discussion.. you aren't exactly in the all clear for that. Again, other users have seen no flaw in anything I've stated.
.
As a fellow user in my opinion, I find it somewhat disrespectful for you to accuse me of something without presenting facts... I've pointed out out the facts in my post, you have not addressed that comment in the slightest, but rather seemingly ignored it, thus I have no choice but to assume you are in fact wrong and have thus lost the debate... unless of course you do bring some facts to the table, then I'll reconsider.
@TehDuck No I'm not going to ban you. You're entitled to your opinion, and more importantly I respect it. This is but a harmless debate, nothing more, nothing less.
@TehDuck If you aren't willing to point out the facts that you supposedly have to prove me wrong, then as far as I'm concerned your are a lost cause. You've had your chance, yet still you persist in your accusations while continuing to not reveal what is wrong by dissecting the post. But instead you go out of your way to find definitions to words that aren't even the topic of the debate at hand. I point out that higher class members I've forwarded this post to see me as doing nothing wrong, but again, you still persist in telling me that I am wrong while again and again continuing not to back up your accusations with evidence. And then after all that, with no facts or evidence at hand you consider yourself the winner of the debate? A debate can only be won by presenting points backed up with facts, you have not done so, at least not for the initial point you made, thus there was no debate at all on your behalf, just an expression of opinions.
.
So allow me to explain my post for you. members of the community are in denial of one sort or another. Posts clearly show that members either think everything is fine with the community, or that everything is wrong with it. I'll let you decide which are in denial.
.
Secondly, It goes without saying that members of the community are above the rules. The very fact you openly stated that Ccoopers followers were blindly following/upvoting him. That is a very large generalisation and while many users may well be doing that, it is somewhat unfair to group them all and arguably insult them without regard for their thoughts or your actions. So yes, players with a hating attitude do need to get off their high horse and be nice to the community, mainly because a) it's against the rules to hate and b) it will make the community a nicer less toxic place if less people were hating. FACT.
.
It's also a fact that users think other users are undeserving of their points. I as a moderator have had the glorious privilege of removing such comments. It is also a fact that even the good guys get hated on. I'll refrain from saying the users name, but given I've looked through their comments history, I can't find anything that lets down another user in fact 99% of their comments on other users planes are nothing but kind words, which is more than some other users... Perhaps they don't take lightly to constructive criticism, but then again, they didn't ask for it either. FACT.
.
Also, hating on people and their creations IS toxic. It causes rivalry and a continuous circle of hate.
@TehDuck As I said, argument implies heated or angry. I'm pretty calm about this and it's pretty far from heated in comparison to what I'm used to. Guess it depends on where you look... However, at least you cared more about a definition and went out of your way to prove it, rather than the relevant forum post which is what the topic at hand is about.
@TehDuck I'm addressing you concerns. As far as I'm aware I'm not arguing but rather explaining to you why I feel this post is not heavily opinion based. If it was an argument, it would be heated and in a negative tone. From my front, I feel I'm not trying to insult you or get angry at you.
@TehDuck It is my understanding that this post is addressing the problems with the site and it's users and thus falls under the category of moderating.
@TehDuck And so to uphold that statement you need to back it up with facts. "As a moderator you're a peace maker that means you should be unbiased" is a statement, it's not backed up with research or facts. By definition a moderator is: "The moderators (short singular form: "mod") are users (or employees) of the forum who are granted access to the posts and threads of all members for the purpose of moderating discussion (similar to arbitration) and also keeping the forum clean (neutralizing spam and spambots etc.).[12] Moderators also answer users' concerns about the forum, general questions, as well as respond to specific complaints. Common privileges of moderators include: deleting, merging, moving, and splitting of posts and threads, locking, renaming, stickying of threads, banning, suspending, unsuspending, unbanning, warning the members, or adding, editing, removing the polls of threads.[13] "Junior Modding", "Backseat Modding", or "Forum copping" can refer negatively to the behavior of ordinary users who take a moderator-like tone in criticizing other members.
Essentially, it is the duty of the moderator to manage the day-to-day affairs of a forum or board as it applies to the stream of user contributions and interactions. The relative effectiveness of this user management directly impacts the quality of a forum in general, its appeal, and its usefulness as a community of interrelated users."
@TehDuck "well reasoned". Implying reasoning: "the action of thinking about something in a logical, sensible way." Logic: "of or according to the rules of logic or formal argument"
Aka you need some form of valid argument to hold up your statement, thus your "constructive criticism" is just an opinion. And by valid, I mean held up with facts. Which you have continued to deny yourself of.
@TehDuck It's only constructive if there's facts to back it up. You have presented none and thus by definition it is all but your opinion. I've given you the opportunity to explain yourself, so I can take into account your opinion and dissect it to reach the appropriate conclusion. But you have refused twice... The fact you appear to sympathise with haters doesn't play well on your behalf either.
@PlanesOfOld I'm not entirely sure what's going on myself. I've got a few other issues that need seeing to as well, so I'll have to put this on the backburner until I've got less on my plate.
@TehDuck Please feel free to point out where I'm being opinionated. As I mentioned before, my key points are facts. I can't help but feel you are quick off the mark to accuse but are somewhat reluctant to explain you point further.
@TehDuck It's not opinion though (okay maybe I have made one or two thoughts clear), the majority of it is facts. People are breaking the rules, people are taking advantage of the system, people do think they're higher than everyone else and toxic people are worse than planes with a low part count. Anyway, if you truly believe this post is inherently wrong, take it up with another mod or developer.
@ChasingHorizon Like I say. I have the communities best interest at heart. A copied plane will be flagged and removed. A toxic person on the other hand is a bit more serious.
@ChasingHorizon He claims he been sitting on the borderline of rule breaking. I said that there is no borderline, just black and white. So I've made it my business to prove that. Don't worry, I have the site's best interests at heart. Especially since they're being very vague about what they're doing behind the scenes.
@KingDeadshot Report any user you feel is breaking the rules. What I'm saying is that I has to approve a users set of planes 5 times (because the auto mod had removed them), despite the fact they were within the site rules.
Your post has been removed. Please read these rules about posting planes.

@ChasingHorizon Probably because I was never notified...
@AviatorCleebo too right
@TehDuck Third opinion and we're continuing to go in circles. This debate is a lost cause without another outside opinion.
@TehDuck I give up, it's like talking to a brick wall. I've handed full authority over this post to another mod.
@TehDuck As mentioned before, I have expressed my opinions, but then I presented facts as to why I think such things. Also, you've done nothing but copy and paste half of the post. @TehDuck Woohoo we're getting somewhere!
I heard it was some time this month. Not certain, but that was what was discussed in the moderator chat.
@TehDuck I have dissected my own post and I'm encouraging you to do the same. But still you refuse... Instead, we should assume I can't see past my own arrogance. @TehDuck At this point I feel like I'm selling a product from dettol.
@TehDuck No I'm not going to ban you. You're entitled to your opinion, and more importantly I respect it. This is but a harmless debate, nothing more, nothing less.

@TehDuck And no. And apparently neither do those I've got to have a second opinion on. So please heed my advise.
@TehDuck Anyway, this is irrelevant. If you can't bring facts to the table, then let us leave it here like gentlemen.
@TehDuck I went into definitions due to the fact you had wrongly interpreted what constructive criticism is.
@TehDuck It is my understanding that you interpreted my last comment wrongly.
@TehDuck I think "debate" is the term your looking for
@TehDuck Argument: "an exchange of diverging or opposite views, typically a heated or angry one."
@TehDuck Anyway, since you aren't willing to bring evidence to the table, may I suggest we go our separate ways and forget about this?
@TehDuck I'm addressing you concerns. As far as I'm aware I'm not arguing but rather explaining to you why I feel this post is not heavily opinion based. If it was an argument, it would be heated and in a negative tone. From my front, I feel I'm not trying to insult you or get angry at you.

@PlanesOfOld I'm not entirely sure what's going on myself. I've got a few other issues that need seeing to as well, so I'll have to put this on the backburner until I've got less on my plate.
@TehDuck No, explain. Instead of being vague, write a nice paragraph explaining why everything I've said is just an opinion.
@TehDuck Please feel free to point out where I'm being opinionated. As I mentioned before, my key points are facts. I can't help but feel you are quick off the mark to accuse but are somewhat reluctant to explain you point further.
Going to remove this post as it seems to be causing a bit of toxic rivalry between players.
@ChasingHorizon I don't recall any of this.
@TehDuck It's not opinion though (okay maybe I have made one or two thoughts clear), the majority of it is facts. People are breaking the rules, people are taking advantage of the system, people do think they're higher than everyone else and toxic people are worse than planes with a low part count. @ChasingHorizon As they say, better late than never
@ChasingHorizon And I'm cleaning up.
@ChasingHorizon Judging from comments, I'm inclined to differ. And yes, any outburst on a site with 13 year olds is toxic.
@EternalDarkness Please refrain from foul language
@EternalDarkness Please refrain from swearing
@EternalDarkness Please refrain from insulting others on the site.
@KingDeadshot Report any user you feel is breaking the rules. What I'm saying is that I has to approve a users set of planes 5 times (because the auto mod had removed them), despite the fact they were within the site rules.
@CaesiciusPlanes just that pug's face looking down on everyone while spinning around the earth.
@Tully2001 looks up at moon... sees pug in its place
@Razr @jamesPLANESii Out of nowhere
