@Flightsonic This plane is actually made a lot better in that it blows itself up when engaged. I was in my ES-40 (a plane I've yet to upload) and was taking out all the AI's when I saw this plane. So I went full throttle, head on towards it, got a lock on it with my missile and before I even hit the trigger, it just exploded XD
I legitimately love the look of this plane! Might I suggest inverting the pitch though? I had an air start and pressed 'S' and found myself plummeting to my death XD
Flies well, but it's a bit nose heavy. Probably due to the fact it's CoM is quite far forward. It's a great design though. It'll be interesting to see if you take this further!
@SPS13 Same, I'm going to try and do more of this kind of thing. It's actually kind of fun to see final product. I think I got the initial inspiration of a forum that literally had a thread dedicated to taking parts of planes and putting them on other planes XD
@Wahoo12 @Quintasoarus
I was actually disappointed with the landing at the beginning, because it seemed too good. Then it went nose first into the ground and that was me happy. XD
One thing I think would be cool though, is when you stick the aircraft into autopilot, the planes flying along side you should go into formation... That would be pretty cool!
I think I've found a bug. While constructing an aircraft I typically use (as of recently) structural panels to model the air intakes. But now when I rotate a panel about another, it disconnects from the rest of the model and then falls off when you go to fly it.
I'm not sure if a similar thing happens to wings, but here's a video showing the problem
@salvador3031 I think of them more as flaps than something that is actually a pitch surface (obviously it's still not flaps though). But provided they're lined up correctly, you can actually make planes a lot more manoeuvrable by doing this.
@salvador3031 Yeah, I guess it is! In all honesty though, I literally only made it because I wanted to see if it was possible to use RCN to make something fly XD
@salvador3031 The pitch from the canards is pretty smooth. Although the roll is pretty damn sensitive. I took off, banked right and nearly went face first into the ground XD
@salvador3031 Maybe, I'll test it out when I'm next on. I eliminate all the pitch controls other than the ones I'm testing, then see what effect they have on the aircraft. I don't think I did it for this one though.
@salvador3031 It took a while to sort the controls out, but it got there in the end... Kind of tempted to see how far I can take this concept in terms of the size of the aircraft XD
@salvador3031 What do you mean by inverting the front pitch? As in the elevators? They're canards, so they should be fine the way it is, reversing it would probably make it less manoeuvrable.
@RyneKuczy I think it should have won the contract. It was stealthier, faster and pretty much better at everything than the YF-22 (from what I've gathered) with the exception of cost and manoeuvrability. Such a good looking plane too!
@3SixtyN0scope Thank you for the upvote!
@Nickasaurus Thanks for the upvote!!
@SteadfastContracting What do you mean by pinching the edges? And I don't know how to make the blocks stay circular after 2.0 either.
@SPS13 Thanks for the upvote!!
I'd like to see how his moustache turns out!! XD
Not sure what I'd do next, if anything at all. Maybe a YB-60 if I have the time though!
@SteadfastContracting Ah yes. XML editing opens quite a few doors to modelling!!
I did something similar with a B-36 photograph a while ago:

Not quite as challenging as yours, but it was nice to bring an old relic back to life again!
@Seeras Thank you for the upvote!!
An unusual but awesome concept. Especially the cockpit design. Handles nice from what I've tried (I'm in a skype call so the lag is real) XD
@SteadfastContracting No problem!!
@SteadfastContracting Thanks for the upvote!!
@SPS13 thank you for the upvote!
I made this about a year ago. I can't make swing wing stuff for the life of me, but if anyone wants an idea or inspiration, here you go:
@SteadfastContracting No problem!!

@fighterjet8 No problem!
@Flightsonic Thanks for the upvote. And yeah, I think it was water... I think.
@TheOwlAce Fair enough. I had the misfortune of leaving my joystick back home at the other end of the country XD

@SPS13 It is simple, but I think that plays to its strength because it's not too complicated. It is a good plane though!
@SPS13 No problem!
Love the design and colour scheme of this aircraft!
@SPS13 Thanks again for the upvote!

@tacotime this is the steam beta :)

Reminds me somewhat of the introduction to this song
All them missiles though XD
There's something about canards and twin tails that just looks so nice on an aircraft!

Thanks again for the upvote! XD
@salvador3031 Yeah, the fuel efficiency sucks though XD
Thanks again for the upvote!!!
@salvador3031 Thank you and thanks again for the upvote!!
@salvador3031 Haha Thank you! and thanks for the upvote!!
Also, I actually found the plane that inspired this:
@SteadfastContracting No problem!
Let me just casually rain shrapnel on people XD
