@TheLieutenant I found that too, but if you rotate the engine and stick the large intake on it, and then rotate it back into place it can fix the problem (sometimes)
Yeah, I managed to download the ones I put up but they were all complete, it's the works in progress that I've lost :/ that and all the great planes other people have done
Yeah, I've got a couple of concepts that aren't good enough to post up yet, using different combinations. It's just a pain making everything perfectly symmetrical with the props, since you have to keep the blades clear of everything. I just wish the rotators could be smaller, I was gonna make the vertical stabiliser at the front fold down as a canard but it wouldn't work :/
@DeezDucks thanks for the tip. It's not so useful when I've got MGs mounted on the stuff of a biplane for example. I've had to strut mount them and make a contra rotating prop to make it work on one of my models
@KurtTank Hey would a be able to use one of your 109s as a Base for an aircraft I'm making? I'm really struggling to get the nose one and engine done and your models are the most accurate I can find. Obviously I'll tag you in the description
@Rohan if they wanted the warthog to look pretty they would've scrapped the thing before it even got off the drawing board! I think it adds to the pugnaciousness of it. Plus more engine = more survivability right? Haha
@MrVaultech thanks, it started off as a pretty boring biplane, then I staggered the wings and left it for a month. I only did the tail last night! I kept looking for interesting designs from the 30s/40s and fixated on the b-24s tail assembly, then mixed it with a gee bees rearward cockpit.
You need to flight test it buddy, my advice is: increase the aileron size and shift the centre of gravity forwards, or the centre of lift backwards (or both). Right now it won't take off! If you put the rear landing gear juuussst behind the centre of weight it'll takeoff quicker too!
If you want some ideas on building different versions look up the planes name with sky oddysee at the end. It's the game the plane is originally from. If you're gonna chuck more power at it how about some streamlining? Or maybe different wing shapes? Lots of room for customization on this

Yeah I think I'll do that. Thanks for the tip
Yep it's Britten Norman :p
I'm afraid it seems to be lost in the 1s and zeros. Aw well I'll just need to make them all again haha
I had a look but no joy, is it the same place you go to as xml modding? @Flightsonic
@Commander Yeah I did that but I only posted like 5% of my planes :/

I like the resto-mod style of building, I've got an updated p-38 too!

Looks more like a prop engined sabre to me, have a look at some mustang photos online for inspiration. Very clean looking model anyway!
Nice, better than mine haha
@ElGatoVolador I've looked it up, it was only the previous production/prototypes that had the 2 bladed wooden prop. My bad
I believe the mk1 spit has a 2 bladed prop, other than that very nice!
@DeezDucks its a really nice looking kite, just a bit tricky bring the balances right

Spooky will be made shortly
Armed version is on its way!

Armed version is on its way!
Armed version is now online, plus a couple more similar planes
I guess we'll just need to wait til they give us synchronised guns, I'm having the same problem with my bf-179
Hey @KurtTank the planes done, finally!
Nice, Ive been looking for more inspiration for 30s style racers!
I know to hold pitch down, it just doesn't want to rotate until it hits a bump at the end of the runway
Looks similar to my pulse jet series, nice
It doesn't take off, and has no wheels?
Are you using simple physics? It definitely won't go on realistic mode, wheels are too far back
@Planeengineer31625324 Yeah I got that lol
Triebflugel?
@Skua I had trouble getting it to take off with semi sym stabilisers, it just doesn't want to rotate.
Awesome, thanks @KurtTank
Maybe try building your own planes, it's always better if you know you made it yourself
@Planeengineer31625324 Isn't that just the hornet you get with the game, with more engines stuck on?

Nice, I wish we could modify intakes and gear length on this, the harrier doesn't like the standard ones!
Have you even flight tested this? It can't take off at all!
Me too! I'm playing it just now actually, that's what made me rebuild this
Interesting, if you're gonna make it stunty try shortening the wings And squaring them off, then putting huge ailerons on it!
How imaginative heh her @MrWom

That little mini jet you get would be awesome
@Mrwhiskers85 just googled that, next project perhaps, that thing looks ace. I've not had much luck with tilt wings though...

Awesome, that thing carves through turns!

Nice, I like the fairing you put on it
Yeah you want to move the attach points for the wings further back, makes it look tidier
