@MrSev downward facing jet/propeller engines. which are banned.

  • Krachenburcher Enterprises: GRV2A Speedy Cricket 8.3 years ago

@LiamW not bad keep improving. (afterall I just got a 1:15 reliable vehicle ;)

  • LV-1-E Storm Cruiser 8.3 years ago

    @jamesPLANESii 4 engines of 600HP

  • LV-1-E Storm Cruiser 8.3 years ago

@LiamW so you can... I am a dumbass... (I knew about the description just not name...)

  • LV-1-F Storm Crusier 8.3 years ago

    @marcox43 @VernilTie513 Thx m8s

  • Riding Dirty 8.3 years ago

@MrSev I never expereinced that bug.

  • Riding Dirty 8.3 years ago

Btw I've managed to hit 1:15 pretty reliable both sides.

  • Riding Dirty 8.3 years ago

@MrSev also thats why I orginize my vehicles. first the letter for what vehicle it is (jet; proppeller; land vehicle) then number (orginization ez) then another leter for the model. so I don't ruin something I may have going or keep an older version.

  • Riding Dirty 8.3 years ago

@MrSev there is an undo button you know?

  • Riding Dirty 8.3 years ago

@MrSev that shows that the vehicle is unreliable.

  • Riding Dirty 8.3 years ago

@brucethemoose not entirely sure. I thought the rotation was allowed but you'll have to ask @AndrewGarrison

  • Riding Dirty 8.3 years ago

@MrSev The down force is applied where it connects. just put 2 sets of simple ones. one in the front one in the back.

  • Riding Dirty 8.3 years ago

@MrSev well yea it will have some glide. they're still wings and will act like it if you leave the ground.

  • Riding Dirty 8.3 years ago

@GearGuy123 Click the settings on the wheels you want to turn. change turn agle to 25 degrees. go to the bottom. where you should see settings on the turn. switch it from yaw to roll.

  • Riding Dirty 8.3 years ago

@GearGuy123 while you're at it you'll probably notice the AI is bad at turning. you'll have to change the turn angle of your wheel to. at max 25 degrees the AI seems to be able to handle.

  • Riding Dirty 8.3 years ago

@GearGuy123 your turn controls have to be set to roll. wheels are set to yaw by default. change it.

  • Riding Dirty 8.3 years ago

@MrSev yes. you can also just do like I did and build out a section of "wing". if you look at any of my geo terrains (MK10 and past) you'll see the tail wing I'm talking about. the flat part isn't wing its structeral panel but the other ones are. (as well as my few LV-1 variants I have up. they use the exact same thing.)

  • Dune Racer 8.3 years ago

@The0ceanKing if you're wondering how that works. basically what that does is the rear wheels act like an anchor because they have high traction. and the front wheels have a good amount but not an over bearing one that would cause it to spin out.

  • Rally-Prototype (Tournament Edition) 8.3 years ago

@RetroGamers010 alright. just making sure you knew.

  • Riding Dirty 8.3 years ago

@Tully2001 pretty sure the statement "Inter-vehicle damage is not disabled in tournaments. That's the best part about races!" says other wise. I agree with you honestly. I would have done much better on yeti scramble if it wasn't for crashing.

  • Riding Dirty 8.3 years ago

@Tully2001 considering he just discovered this. it will probably be a standard rule after the tournament.

  • Dune Racer 8.3 years ago

If you want to make it less slippery do this. set the traction of all the wheels to manual. rear wheels 150% on both settings. front wheels keep at 100%. easy fix.

  • Riding Dirty 8.3 years ago

@Alienbeef0421 you may as well give it a try. its not like you have a penalty for losing.

  • Riding Dirty 8.3 years ago

Speaking of mistakes. I just fixed the spelling mistake of my current entry's name... took me 5 versions to realize it.

  • Riding Dirty 8.3 years ago

@AndrewGarrison so basically... we can do this? (at least for this tournament)

  • Riding Dirty 8.3 years ago

@baallzebub I wouldn't say not allowed as more that. it won't be in the actual tournament. you will collide with the other vehicles.

  • 'Ol Reliable 8.3 years ago

Looks nice. like very nice. but it seems you're going for the style as apposed to finish time huh? :P

  • Riding Dirty 8.3 years ago

@MrSev you put it on your vehicle so its facing connecting forwards or backwards. and edit the dithederal so it points down yes.

  • Riding Dirty 8.3 years ago

@MrSev if you're getting lift to begin with you've done something wrong.

  • Riding Dirty 8.3 years ago

@MrSev not really. I mean its like planes you have to balance out your down force. however in this case you want it a bit more sided to the front.

  • Riding Dirty 8.3 years ago

@GrumpyRacing How's your building been going?

  • Riding Dirty 8.3 years ago

@MrSev no you put wings on it facing forwards or backwards and then change the dithederal so that they angle downwards.

  • Riding Dirty 8.3 years ago

@MrSev no it should be to your right. same starting height.

  • Riding Dirty 8.3 years ago

@MrSev both sides have the exact same drop.

  • Riding Dirty 8.3 years ago

@MrSev it really isn't that high. the front hits harder but going down that first hill section. the bumps you're going to be slamming into on the way down are just as hard.

  • Riding Dirty 8.3 years ago

@MrSev that is intentional. think of it as an inital bounce. if your vehicle can't handle that tiny bounce at the start. you can't handle the rest of the course :P

  • Riding Dirty 8.3 years ago

@MrSev if you have the wings pointing downards like an actual down force wing. its down force. however you will need it on both the front and back of your vehicle. other wise your vehicle's grip becomes weird. or you simply lose traction in the front.

  • Riding Dirty 8.3 years ago

@MrSev the problem is you're weighing it down instead of adding down force or more tire grip.

  • Riding Dirty 8.3 years ago

@brucethemoose pretty sure there isn't. I mean again. pretty sure this would have been a thing during other tournaments but it hasn't.

  • Riding Dirty 8.3 years ago

@MrSev what troubles are you having with that one then? its just a jump.

  • Riding Dirty 8.3 years ago

@MrSev you mean the turn at ring 6?

  • Riding Dirty 8.3 years ago

@marcox43 its not a matter of the specific car can't handle going faster (which it can't its already at maximum speed. 4 engines. 4 wheels.) its that any design I've tried making simply can't get a better reliable time than that.

  • Riding Dirty 8.3 years ago

@marcox43 honestly I think thats all I'll get.

  • Riding Dirty 8.3 years ago

@marcox43 best I currently got is reliable at 1:20 now....

  • Riding Dirty 8.3 years ago

Well after a lot of testing. design tweaks new designs. I'm coming close to about 1:15 reliable. (however it is compeltely ruined if it spins out or flips and loses all its speed)

  • Rally-Prototype (Tournament Edition) 8.3 years ago

Just letting you know. you forgot to set the rear wheels to have inverted turn angle.

  • Riding Dirty 8.3 years ago

@marcox43 also when you try to enter a plane it should tell you teh reason it can't be entered in the top.

  • Riding Dirty 8.3 years ago

@marcox43 it doesn't matter if its unlisted or not. it can be either.

  • Riding Dirty 8.3 years ago

@marcox43 It has to be a vehicle that is not a Predecessor of another person's vehicle (only your own). no XML modding. 150 parts max. there are size limits. can't have weapons.

  • Riding Dirty 8.3 years ago

@SimpleThings it literally says no jet or prop engines allowed in the basic rules. come on man.
