Unbelievable! Looks incredible. Extremely maneuverable and yet very easily controlled. Every time I think I have a feel for this game's physics engine and its limitations, I fly one of your planes and realize I have no idea what's going on. I really don't know how you do it.
Even easier fix: just set the actuators to different activation groups (e.g. 5 and 6) and lower them one at a time. Just reverse the order (carefully!) to raise them again. I tried it and it seems to work pretty good, though it doesn't look quite as cool as when they come down synchronized!
I like it. Would rate if I could! Flys quite well, better then I expected. Hilariously violent crashes if you lower the VTOL instead of raising it (which was the first thing I did after download...didn't read the instructions :P). I think you can avoid the issue with the tail colliding with the wings altogether by switch from a T style tail to an upside-down T style (if that makes sense). I'd expect it to still fly well after some tweaking. Either way it's a promising design.
Off the ground it feels like it has potential, but as soon as I get any airspeed it tends to develop nasty instabilities. I think the big V style tail might be contributing to the problem, as it causes a rolling moment any time there is side slip. I'd probably try to increase the yaw stability with a different tail design, and try to increase the lift produced by the "wings". Maybe even add a separate wing that just provides lift at forward speed (might be difficult to fit though!). I'd love to see it be able to do a props forward airplane style takeoff, which I think would be a good goal for improving the performance. Not bad looking either, I agree it does look like a future transport :). Now to make it fly like one!
Really nice. Your designs are always amazing to look at, and the fact that they all fly nearly flawlessly is crazy. If I have a complaint, it's that they are almost too easy to fly! Sometimes I like a challenge :)
Brother, this is such a work of art. I laughed out loud.
Brilliant.
+1So sick. Awesome execution.
Wow
So cool. Gave me the biggest grin on my face when I slid the VTOL and realized how it was supposed to work. Really cool concept and good execution.
I just found this and had a lot of fun with it. :)
Thanks @JacobHardy64!

Yeah I'd love to get rid of the slight nose down, but haven't been able to tune that out yet. Thanks for the rating! Very kind.
