@Mustang51 I always assumed it was a Tornado though now that mention it I do think it could be a SU-24. It doesn't look a whole lot like an Aardvark though. I guess it's a mystery.
@Mustang51 You're welcome. Oh and fun tip, On the Hinge Rotator and Small Rotator blocks you can go to the "Joint Rotator" tab and add a function "disableBaseMesh" and set it to "true". Most of the settings are case sensitive. You can also change the input to "landingGear" though you may need to set either the "min" or the "max" to 0. Theres a lot to learn from the mod so I recomend finding good Modded planes and disecting them.
Well I only play this game on PC so I'm not sure how it works on Mac or Mobile versions. I subscribed to the Overload Mod from the Steam Workshop but it's also on the Simpleplanes mod page: https://www.simpleplanes.com/Mods/View/524146/Overload
@Mustang51 I recomend getting the Overload Mod. Theres not really a whole lot you can do wrong with it and once you get used to it you can tweak your builds much better wether it be making the small parts smaller to fit better or changing the CoM without adding extra weight. I even found a way to attach wing guns to spots they normally wouldn't be able to.
@BigDoggo They're the "Small Rotator" block. I used the Overload Mod to "disableBaseMesh" and get rid of that boxy vented part. I also scaled them down a bit to look nicer.
Nice. I like the concept. Maybe it'd be an early 1950s prototype. Do you XML mod or use the overload mod? I'd recomend setting the "No Collisions" to True on the bombs as they seem to get stuck inside the aircraft sometimes.
@Mustang51 Thanks. Though I see why. I wasn't able to hide that ugly bump in the middle of the plane and it's such an eyesore. I think I did a pretty good job on the rest of the design though. Probably could have made the engine look less default though.
I was looking up the Synergy aircraft and I found this image linking it to some aircraft website: https://www.google.com/search?biw=1280&bih=918&tbm=isch&sa=1&ei=25axWqD4IGatgWvtZQBg&q=synergy+aircraft&oq=synergy+aircraft&gs_l=psy-ab.3..0j0i24k1l9.182159.186179.0.186354.16.12.0.4.4.0.122.874.11j1.12.0....0...1c.1.64.psy-ab..0.16.892...0i67k1j0i5i30k1.0.Ut3j7a30pp0#imgrc=5OMLU044NhKWmM:
@1025604776 I could probably take the "screen" from your laptop and put it on the front monitor. the side monitor is a cheap Dell and it usually has aircraft dimensions and information when I'm building.
@Datom I actually just reinstalled it two days ago. though my joystick movements feel very delayed. maybe it's because they're plugged into a USB splitter extension.
@CRJ900Pilot, @Milo1628xa Thank you! If you have the time, I recomend finding an episode of Sky King. It started out as a radio show shortly after WWII and it's basicly a cowboy/western show but with a plane.
@Gestour Thanks. This really was a challenge because getting 50 parts means I only had the shape to work with and not much on the details. Am I able to make a second plane for this contest or is it one per person?
Something I like to do is flip the sizeable fuselage block left or right 90 degrees and flatten them out. I also set the shape to circular which gives it a nice aerodynamic look. as for the wing's wobble, sometimes if you attach a part to the end of the wing thats also connected to the wings root, it'll cause the wing to be much more rigid though it doesn't always like to work.
@breitling I just cheated a little by making the wings super huge then scaling them down so they still output the same lift and stability as a large wing would.
@valaszki You did a great job with this plane. I'm always working on making my planes look cleaner and realistic which I'm getting better at but one thing I always have trouble with is Stability in flight. How do you get your planes to fly so well? All the planes I make have a sort of pitch wobble when flying but this has little to none! would you be willing to talk to me on how you do that?
Great tool for aircraft intake shapes. Is there any way you could do a post like this with the pylons and weapons that attach to them?

@mikoyanster I'm all for getting more points but ultimately you're the judge for this competition.
@Mustang51 I used to do that too. I had a ton of parts in my sub assembly list. I find the mod makes things easier.

@Mustang51 I think about 1-3 hours I forget. I was bored and didn't know what to make so I looked around for inspiration.

@SimpleJoe Sure! I'd love to see it when you're finished.

@Texasfam04 Thanks! I'm planning to scale it down and make a Talon from the movie "Stealth"
Nice work! The only thing it needs is the smiley face on the tail cone.
Nice job! You really got the body shape down. all it needs now is sweeping wings and some bombs!
Well I found the problem. Looks like the Center of Mass (CoM) is behind the Center of Lift (CoL)

@Datom Yes. In reality its the Saitek rudder pedals. I have the X52 Joystick and Throttle as well though there really isn't any space for them.
You should try XML modding. You'll be able to make the a single Blasto J15 engine exceed 2000mph and set a single fuel tank to be nearly infinite.

@tylernyack123 Good luck! I still haven't figured out how to make a working boat or even a good seaplane.
are you going to build an aircraft carrier?

Nice! I really enjoy the extending inlet cone.
Whats the difference between this and the default "Pigpen" the game gives you?
@Mustang51 Thanks, I try to keep my designs at a low part count while keeping the proportions and defining characteristics as close as I can.
Yeah the Patriots were good last year. Really neat how they shot that puck to first base and made it into the basket for a goal!
@valaszki alright! Thanks for the advice. I'll try to implement that into my new designs.

Stop it right now! You're on your way to building a Terminator and I'm not about to let Skynet happen!!!
I'm not quite sure how to upload my memecraft but its here

@Sunnyskies Thank you for enlightening me!
Why is bald Marilyn Manson playing it?
yes Yes YES >:)
It has to be either a glock or the wright flyer!! Can't be anything else
Reminds me of the Eurofighter Typhoon. Keep up the good work!
Nice concept for suspension. I did notice that it seemed to be locked up because it didn't have any room to streach.

Try this one. It works for me:

I find it hilarious that of all the aircraft that have ever been shown on any sort of media.. you choose this. The exact plane from Madagascar 2.
You guys are crazy. The Wii U is where its at, yo!
Can someone rotate all the weapons that mount to pylons 45 degrees too?
