@Walrus aircraft feel free to alter as you see fit, just be careful not to make it too fast as that's why I left it with restricted airflow 200mph seems about right for the period.
Carrier approach runs lead to squeaky bum incidents but at about 5% power on approach you can get her on the main deck of the bigger carrier without breaking the gear, for USS Tiny your only hope would be a gear up belly landing.
@WaterAirLand - black magic..... modded xml file to adjust the attachment point on the rotator and then it really is just a case of rotation and building. I personally blame @WalrusAircraft he's the first person I saw create the modified rotator and without him a third of my stuff would be wingless, without propellers or landing gear free.
@TheChosenOne by doesn't take off I assume you can't get it to move? If that's the case then reread the instructions. 5 and push the slide up, deselect 5 push the slide up to the top to be ready to fold your gear, power up and off you go, 6 to fold your gear. If it's any other problem please do tell as I've just downloaded it and had an error free flight out round the carrier and back home.
You asked for clues as how to build better aircraft.
1 - have an idea as to what you would like to achieve
2 - have some useful bits saved as sub assemblies that you can drop into a build
3 - if you can't get a part to fit where you want try rotating it or blocks next to it to move it where you want
4 - if all else fails post it up and ask for help
Flys great? This game is called simple planes not complex planes, not sure any of the vtol stuff or noseconse add anything but here's some points for original thinking.
Not a bad effort at all. Suggested improvement, move the rear gear forward 1 block (reduces take off speed), alter your wings so the ailerons are on the outer wing segment (improved roll rate), adjust the inner wing segments to a symmetrical profile (stops the floaty light nose).
@JacobHardy64 I am not that worried helping those unable to rate is important, it only takes maybe 2mins to try most planes a few take a while longer, a few even keep you entertained long enough to merit a save.
@Nightraider @thealban @LordofLego @planesnthings @hypnotoad @Vikdesigns @KinDeadshot @Viper28 @blueangelproduction @Bartfartplanes Many thanks for flying and rating this plane, appreciate when people like stuff I've done.
Nice build the swing wings work well you need to set the rear horizontal surfaces to semis to dial out the Jose lift but other than that quite nice to fly. I would have linked the vtol nozzles to pitch personally and perhaps fitted modified X2 engines but apart from that and the weapons on the tail it's a good little plane.
Red in front of blue always, similar vertical axis helps, closer together they get the more responsive it tends to be. Yellow only becomes a major issue if you are looking to make a vtol aircraft.
Would have been five stars if you had it so the little plane was the one you continued to fly.
Decent original idea a little tidying around the tail and it would be superb as a first effort.

@TheKillerHawk21 power to 50% and just let it fly itself off.
I've just had three goes and got the model B on the deck once suggest 5% power and fairly flat approach from behind.

No one mentioned carrier landings!!! Argh.

Way too quick but apart from that it's excellent.
Looks stunning, downloading as I type.
Simple and effective, no COL showing up is interesting.

Nicely built aircraft.
Wing pitch controls needed inverting but otherwise an interesting concept, you probably don't need the rear set of engines either.

Can't see that you've added much other than floats so whilst I would love to get you off zero this isn't the way to do it.

@JacobHardy64 version with more yaw just uploaded
@JacobHardy64 you want more yaw I shall see what I can do, obviously is some currently but let's give it more!!!
@KingDeadshot as above
@JacobHardy64 I am not that worried helping those unable to rate is important, it only takes maybe 2mins to try most planes a few take a while longer, a few even keep you entertained long enough to merit a save.
@KingDeadshot Almost my bedtime, another 8.5 hours and its time to get up for another busy day
@KingDeadshot 14 seconds your slipping
Great little fun aircraft.
Making the wings fold may take a while, first effort everything just hasn't bonded at all.......
Lovely looking replica, horizontal stabilizers are a bit bouncy though.
@Cedy117 can I have a play with the wings on your Helldiver see if we could get the wings to fold?
@blueangelproduction rather than reinvent the wheel here's a rather lovely Dauntless; https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/1mOq1I/SBD-Dauntless
Well done an interesting little plane.
As suggested alter the ailerons, even moving them nearer the end of the wings makes a big difference.
Your right it's terrible, create an account and start with something a bit simpler?
Great hull now make me a Short Sunderland.
Not my style at all but I will give it a whirl
Flys nicely.
@UnknownVectors thanks for the rating, did you by any chance have a fly of my biplane yesterday?
Nice enough to fly keep working on your own designs
@JacobHardy64 thanks for the pre-emptive strike.
@blueangelproduction I'm aware of the dauntless and also aware an excellent example already exists on here, will have a look and play.
@Bartfartplanes I will look to dial out some of the nose sinkage on v1.1 when I next have this aircraft in for work.

Fun just keep it slow.

@CheekyMonkey @JacobHardy64 @Austinowen many thanks for the ratings and comments.
It's a solid effort well done.
@PlanesOfOld many thanks, any suggestions as to anything needing alterations?
I like it even though it's letahal as it is, tail need fixing and the gear could do with moving from behind the jet exhaust.
My pre WW2 biplane fighter would fit this ideally. https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/1C6JE4/1930s-Naval-Biplane-Fighter-v1-0
@Me600 @Stormy780 You have both given useful feedback before, would be happy to hear your comments.
