  • AV-8B HARRIER JET MK-II 9.1 years ago

Good effort needs some help to allow it to stop though, so either 105degrees on the rotators or some airbrakes linked to the vtol nozzles.

  • make something out of this 9.1 years ago

    Crikey that's a bit wobbly.

  • Bomber(someone needs to fix it) 9.1 years ago

OMG such a detailed build. If you want a working bomber here's a Lancaster with working bomb bay and grand slam bomb. https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/x9Q5oV/Avro-Lancaster-MK2-parts-trimmed

  • F-62 HELP PLZ 9.1 years ago

Have an up vote for effort, basic aircraft building rule 101 is centre of mass has to be in front of the centre of lift. You can find this by using the show COM/COL/COT button on the menu. This effort you have two heavy engines at the rear of the plane, hence it won't fly. Also using this try and get your rear wheels just behind the red dot, it helps on the take off speed, the two aircraft I have had a go with the take off speed has been 300+ mph.

  • F-62 9.1 years ago

Odd little plane, needs a little help I think.

  • Single Engine 4th Gen Jet 9.1 years ago

I'm not sure that's the best bomb in the world looks more like an external fuel tank.

  • British contest 9.1 years ago

I've just made a few alterations to my meteor and uploaded as part of this challenge, enjoy the flight.

  • Carson's VTOL 9.1 years ago

Great idea but it's not balanced and is flexing way too much.

  • My first airplane 9.1 years ago

Can I suggest tail mounted landing gear is a bad idea?

  • TIE Interceptor(full interior) 9.1 years ago

    Looks great saved for later

  • Contender 9.1 years ago

@Stingray I've gone from bandit island too south island and landed with about 80% fuel remaining so it's more than happy on an island hop, a bit tricky to land due to the fast approach speed but certainly is capable of being landed, I ended up on the grass due to a lack of stopping space.

  • Contender 9.1 years ago

@mario3154 a thirty degree full power climb will see you through 80000ft with little problem, it's worth rolling on to your back if you want a more stable flight.

  • Reno Radial (improved) 9.1 years ago

That prop is soooooo soooo big and clipy.

  • Ring a ding 9.1 years ago

@LjSpike the ring originated on this; https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/x83329/drone-0783-V2-by-TheWatchingEye

That's as old as the hills that clip.

  • What should i build 9.1 years ago

    An aeroplane?

  • Ring a ding 9.1 years ago

Well ring a ding was from old blue eyes Mr Frank Sinatra, the baby bit, he probably used that when bedding the odd (legal aged) young woman. (Allegedly)

  • VTOL Prop 9.1 years ago

@Nickasaurus I've liked using it too land on the side of the volcano, I tried going down inside the crater but it's fine controls aren't good enough.

  • VTOL Prop 9.1 years ago

@LjSpike props are attached too a single old style block, props are set to plus 20degrees for the top, minus 20degrees for the bottom.

  • Warbird One 9.1 years ago

It's fun to push over into a negative G stall, I would remove the tall rear gear and replace with normal retractable gear.

  • easy flyer challenge 9.1 years ago

    Added a simple jet.

  • FBD100 9.1 years ago

    Flies nicely, good build.

  • .Collaborative Buiding Project 16 9.1 years ago

Right hand engine is messed up and explodes, never a good idea but it rips the wing off too.

  • Insignias 9.1 years ago

USSR stars on here if you want to pull them out too.

  • JAS-39B 9.1 years ago

    Interesting if dangerous handling characteristics.

  • .Collaborative Buiding Project 12 9.1 years ago

Overpowered engines leading to rapid structural failure....

  • Spikerya 9.1 years ago

    @Spikerya

  • strong joints, structural panel or fuselage? 9.1 years ago

I use small fuselage sections to make rotations in wings, they can be fine but are prone to exploding.

  • Insignias 9.1 years ago

Glad you like the swastikas, would have been nice if you offered credit to the folks you've collected these from?

  • strong joints, structural panel or fuselage? 9.1 years ago

Structural wings seem better bonded than fuselage sections in most cases.

  • How can I make nice biplane wings? 9.1 years ago

Use thin bits as wing spars and attach the upper wing to the lower wing using these spars.

  • Request:German Insigna 9.1 years ago

  • Mod Request, WalrusAircraft! 9.1 years ago

If you look through my planes for inlets there's a kit there that should do both jobs for you, last used on the Gloucester Meteor.

  • Tupolev 22 9.1 years ago

    A bit nose sinky.

  • old prop challenge 9.1 years ago

😢 I don't really like the old props that much, I will however see if I can motivate myself to build something with one.

  • old prop challenge 9.1 years ago

    Only an old prop?

  • grumman F6F Hellcat (once again, fixed) 9.1 years ago

    Flies well enough.

  • Reno Unlimited? 9.1 years ago

@AeroEngineering The prop adds to the overall effect.

  • Sub Hunter 9.1 years ago

@TheLazyFlyer glitchy paint is down to the part blending, only work round is all fuselage parts to be the same paint.

  • Where is everyone gone? 9.1 years ago

There are a few worthy contenders that never get featured and the odd creator who gets everything featured, this really doesn't deserve to be on the front page.

  • Sub Hunter 9.1 years ago

@MasterOscar that's more than likely what the strike version will have, bigger gruntier engines, oh and a few more weapons.

  • Carrier strike aircraft anphib 9.1 years ago

The short nose wheel is a bit of a downgrade but apart from that it's good. Try the new folding wing version that I uploaded earlier today.

  • Cedco CA32 Lynx 9.1 years ago

    So pretty.

  • Sub Hunter 9.1 years ago

  • A-10 CARRIER-BASDED 9.1 years ago

It needs more wing as its very nose heavy even at 160mph which is quicker than you would want for a carrier approach.
