Honestly after playing around quite a bit with your "Funky trees" xml scripting language, i find that it adds a lot to the game. It's possible to create things that are much more advanced than ye old days of putting throttle as a rotor's input.
As FT stands now it's a really useful tool to calculate trajectories or for very simple condition logic. But i think the one thing it lacks is a reliable way to store information. I have been able to overcome this limit by using canons and other weapons as input and memory devices (by reading their ammo count).
It would be incredible if you could add a method to store a numerical value somewhere. Either that or some way to use the fire command and select a weapon from FT (that would enable the code to lower values by itself, by shooting multiple times).
That or some kind of sound block would be an amazing add to this game.
Anyways thanks for reading and for giving us FT :)
If you made this 100% on your own, then congrats, it's a work of art.
I'm a bit suspicious about it though, seeing as it's made on android and is that heavily xml modded without even a proper description... is it all yours?
@SimpleCollector This plane isn't made for mobile or low-end pcs, it's a complex peice of engineering with 1700+ parts, 2Papi2Chulo made an amazing job on this A10 so don't go around asking creators to botch their own deseigns.
Also, had you read the post, he linked to models of this plane with 500 and 700 parts.
@skolpionBR yes I know, I wanted to make it more maneuverable, but the design was just too heavy and without gyros, it wouldn't hold a flight. You may want to disable the stabilizer with 8 when you're in forward thrust mode, it'll be a little bit easier to fly. And thanks for the upvote by the way :)
You did something incredible here, have an upvote. I hope this encourages the devs to overhaul funky trees even a little bit, you can do so many awesome things with it...
@MrShenanigans In theory it's based off... well the HO 229 which is a german prototype bomber from the end of WWII.
In practice i botched the engine placement (too much space between the two) so i wouldn't call it an exact replica. The wings are full replicas though (they're still 2d).
@AsteroidAsteroidTheBook Yup, this tap handle-looking thing is used to change audio canals, there are 9 of them iirc (this build has it locked to 0, didnt feel like adding even more parts)
@ollielebananiaCFSP Tkt, y a une grosse différence entre copier-coller un panneau qui fonctionne pas et entièrement le programmer pour qu'il réponde de manière réaliste :)
@Belugasub Yes, i am aware of the proportion problems with this cockpit :( (ie bad angles, too much cockpit space)
I might try and fix that later on but it's not something that simple to do (the main plane is already built and has the basic flight instruments already in)...
@zerozcy Fine, when you upload a creation that is not yours, in-game in the share menu (when you share it for the first time) you have to set it to unlisted (not public) so that only you can see them (if you give someone the link to the plane/car:etc he'll still be able to see and download it, it just won't show up in the new airplanes, or on your profile).
When you'll make something on your own, upload it as public for everyone to see.
if you do that correctly there shouldn't be any problems.
@zerozcy If you're transferring stuff from phone to pc for example, put these builds in unlisted. Posting them in public is stealing and can get you banned.
@JustaGoose The secret to making anything fly correctly is to put the center of mass just in front of the center of lift, and having all 3 centers... well, centered along a single z axis. :)
Is it possible to get information from a component of the plane? Like in the input of an engine i have a specific smoothing function, and a light that reflect the state of the engine (warmup, on, off).
Something along the lines of :
(partID.Input) as the value of the function that's inside the input of the part, here a smoothing function.
with the value of the input of this part?
sorry to bother you guys, i'm trying to automate parts of my craft and i was wondering if there was a more complete documentation about scripting in SP?
Like, how i can setup logic in my input (if that do this)...?
Edit: what scripting langage is this? Is it something that exists outside of SP or did you make it yourselves? Looks like AS3 but i wanna be sure

+11Wow nice build, did you steal it yourself?
+8If you made this 100% on your own, then congrats, it's a work of art.

+2trouvé, aussi noyeux joël hawk
+1beautiful, have an updoot
+1@F104Deathtrap да
+1fun to fly, original and beautiful.
Have an upvote good sir or madam
+1Honestly i feel like the Mig 21 is one of the most made airplanes on SP... i see these everywhere.
+1wow thx for the spotlight @Cyan :O
+1@StarlightRE Someone stole your build, i reported them, you should do the same.
+1https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/CP21P8/RX-0-UNICORN-GUNDAM
Almost crashes my pc, you create something amazing man.
It's not Simple planes anymore, it's complex aerodynamics

+1This is what happens when you smash together everything you have in the sub assembly menu @-@ @ThePrototype
+1goddamn... now THAT is art...
You did something incredible here, have an upvote. I hope this encourages the devs to overhaul funky trees even a little bit, you can do so many awesome things with it...
You asked me to make one but you've already made quite a beautiful one already, i don't think i can make it any better than that...
It's a replica, it's just very rough and simplified (i'll make a complete version later)
@MrShenanigans In theory it's based off... well the HO 229 which is a german prototype bomber from the end of WWII.
In practice i botched the engine placement (too much space between the two) so i wouldn't call it an exact replica. The wings are full replicas though (they're still 2d).
Hence the "rough" in the description, the refined version will have the correct pitch and roll rates, and also 3d wings.
@DieDieTheLoaf insert surprised pikachu face
Farewell fellow CSFP member
It looks cute and is an awesome craft, take my upvote
@Cronvia32 Right?
Le Brrrt pods
Now i know why i've been making so much SAMs lately in SP...
Great mig-21, it's nicely detailed and very accurate.
@airlinerbuilder Thx :)
@WarHawk95 J'y penserai
@AsteroidAsteroidTheBook Yup, this tap handle-looking thing is used to change audio canals, there are 9 of them iirc (this build has it locked to 0, didnt feel like adding even more parts)
Silver, omg thank you guys :D
@ollielebananiaCFSP Tkt, y a une grosse différence entre copier-coller un panneau qui fonctionne pas et entièrement le programmer pour qu'il réponde de manière réaliste :)
Et merci pour l'upvote.
yet another mig 21 to go on the pile... I wouldn't call the model "detailed" but it's pretty nice.
@Belugasub Yes, i am aware of the proportion problems with this cockpit :( (ie bad angles, too much cockpit space)
I might try and fix that later on but it's not something that simple to do (the main plane is already built and has the basic flight instruments already in)...
Also thx for the upvotes :)
beautiful
@NotSoNormalPioneer Yes, the final cockpit is going to have a sad number of parts...
So that's why mig-21s are everywhere these days... i'd post mine but it's 1200 parts and only 40% complete... :(
Its going to be around 3000 parts when finished (absolutely complete original cockpit), guess i can't participate @KnightOfRen
nice details
@PapaKernels I have a mig 21 in the works, ( 2 months, 997 parts) and it's only about 50% complete, wait for that one if you want a lagfest.
Also it's meant to be used scaled down.
And thanks for all the upvotes :D

@LieutenantSOT thanks :)
@BombBoi1822 You're right, it does, but at scale 0.0001 it looks just like the jettison buttons on the mig 21.
@JustaGoose The secret to making anything fly correctly is to put the center of mass just in front of the center of lift, and having all 3 centers... well, centered along a single z axis. :)
your ejecting seat is the icing on the cake
I love what you did with the cloth at the rear, it looks perfect
wow I may need this sometime!

WNP78 incredible, a quick response from the dev himself :)
Thanks for directing me to this doc, it'll come in handy.
