@Darkhound in a matter of fact. no i am not aware of this. "timed" machine guns. i have a slight clue about the synchronizer gear used to hinder the bullets hitting the propeller.
quite a cool design. but i cant help but question gatling weaponry mounted behind the propeller. i shouldn't question it but all i can imagine is the bullets shredding the propeller. overall guns aside its a cool design
ah yes one of the few planes which was proposed but never got further. than prototype. only if britain got as far as just trying small squadrons of these things.
ok this is an very cool design literaly no real flaws other than it looks more like a splitsword fighter more than a H wing but overall its a solid 10/10. only of i could rate higher
@Diloph a Browing Machine gun is an American machine gun which used to fire 7.62mm rounds. the british bullets was slightly larger but due to the browing machine gun being much more effective than the Vickers machine guns the british pretty much used american guns and modified them to fire the 303 7.7mm rounds which was then the standard british rifle bullet
@LuftwaffeAce262 i usually prefer the early aswell. tho firepower wise they could have done a bit better. not saying 8 303s are bad but they could have maybe gone for 4x 12.7mm guns like they did for later versions of the fulmar
@LuftwaffeAce262 infact if i do remember there was some spitfire Mk Is which had been convered to just 2 hispano cannons during BoB tho mostly for evaluation. and its rather easy to see it was pretty much a tale of the guns tearing themselfs apart faster than they could shoot down anything
@LuftwaffeAce262 aye. spitfire A variations apparently lasted all the way up to Mk V tho the hispanos did slowly replace the browings during the conflict. its the unreliability and constant jamming which was an issue as hispanos although good were kinda rushed in development. not to mention entirely french guns just produced by brits. so the cannons could pretty much be a recipe for disaster
now i look as people making prop planes im somewhat motivated to try to make a new plane. also tho accidentally uploaded its still a good design. id recommend redoing the tail section tho as the fuselage is a little bit too wide. and the rudder is just looking like it was slap rushed on which kinda gives it a negative lookt. still overall id give it a solid 8/10
@Diloph i guess... but hey its better to know the vehicles than just assume this and that is the norm. unlike so many who thinks anything just with the name was in battle of britain
a spitfire Mk II with 4x 20mm cannons? meh i shouldnt complain...... good build overall tho if it was supposed to be a realistic style build the Mk II would have 4x 303 browings and 2x hispanos cannons. tho its just as simple as just make it a 4 blade prop and call it a Mk IXc
Entering the X-prop technicly a joke plane i made due to a small moment where i went starwars crazy Link: https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/cGOiYF/X-Prop-Prototype

good. if it was FWD i would be pissed
+1@Diloph treat is as a airship build then pretend its a battleship and you should have most of the issues sorted.
now its all good with a car. but the question is. what drivetrain is it?
ah yes one of the few planes which was proposed but never got further. than prototype. only if britain got as far as just trying small squadrons of these things.
rating 11/10 for something new
french tank fan: when the french didnt surrender. ah yeah... good times

i believe the radiators are the other way around. and the oil cooler inlet is round and not square.

pushed it to the limit!
@Mustang51 considering its on demand. then thats possible. but it also to not expect much
