@Borb A reasonable response, if you have time do you mind checking out my original version here: https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/w513R9/Simple-Fast-Stock-Car-Engine-Power-Only and telling me what you think (use mouse as joystick)
@Mage2IsTriggered Yeah, it really wasn't balanced, and because of that, I've been shilling the original version of my car quite heavily and unsubtly. Can you download it here please: (https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/w513R9/Simple-Fast-Stock-Car-Engine-Power-Only) and try it using the mouse as joystick on Gold Prix. I have been trying hard to get people to appreciate how good of a car it actually was before this happened (tell me what you think after you drive it if you decide to, but please keep in mind that it is exactly what it says it is)
@Mage2IsTriggered I was hoping that would be the case since I made a completely stock car with 0 unorthodox performance modifications on my CAR7L account and had to blast it to the stratosphere to be competitive
@L3FTxR1GHT Aerodynamics. More specifically, I started with a fast car, then added bullshit to it. My opponent started with bullshit and built a car around it.
@PoliceZack2527 if you do it please consider what I mentioned in my pinned comment here https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/52c5b4/Kers-and-all-that-reality#comment-4088587
@IMFLYINHERE I did not even know that that (a creation being "german") was a thing before you mentioned it so no not to my knowledge (the fact that the car is german is a pure coincidence)
@Dragoranos Thank you. The reason I had zero points is that this was my first and only creation in simple planes (I made it before I had this account and the tournament being held was only a coincidence). You should try out my original version that I posted on my @CAR7L account. The first one was my original intent when making this, but when I entered this tournament I decided that that wasn't fast enough, so I sacrificed actually having a human be able to drive it for speed (the motors on this one are turned down to half thrust by the way because I was too lazy to tune it for full power, but feel free to try to unleash its full potential).
Also, because I might not make anything again and I don't want any of this information to be lost for anything you make, I recommend making the rear wheels steer 5-10° in the same direction as the front wheels, a 2:1 ratio for suspension stiffness to dampers or the reverse (I don't remember which and don't have simple planes on this computer), minimize frontal area, use air brakes with my control inputs to prevent oversteer, and if you use stock tires, 2.6 is the optimal size for both the front and rears. If you take this and the original apart, there are some other optimizations I don't remember making.
@LockheedLover ay so did the guy with the nuclear car i just copied what he had with better aero the original was beautiful turning at 20Gs with no gyro support
@IMFLYINHERE The original was a masterpiece by the way capable of cornering at 20Gs with a top speed of 700kph all with stock parts on just 1200 HP and a perfectly smooth experience, this on the other hand is a monstrosity
@WolfHunter9111 the previous version just crashed at the end this doesnt and represents the actual reality of the situation (its got the same deviations from standard car design as the nuclear one)
@LockheedLover Technically no

+1@WolfHunter9111 that was the goal I am honestly surprised nobody bothered to check how fast the car was before the tournament started

+1@Borb Yeah yours is better in terms of style though check out the original on my @CAR7L account because that one i'm actually proud of

@IMFLYINHERE How did you figure out that i'm German
@WolfHunter9111 the previous version just crashed at the end this doesnt and represents the actual reality of the situation (its got the same deviations from standard car design as the nuclear one)
nice
@WolfHunter9111 this is the upgraded version in accordance with the rules of group A
@WolfHunter9111 alright i have made my edit
+1@WolfHunter9111 do you mind if I change the redirect of my entry again to a newer version with more downforce?
@WolfHunter9111 i have an updated version of the vehicle can i use one of the three repost chances by changing the redirect?
@WolfHunter9111 I have edited the redirect to a version where the engine is connected does that work?
+1This is the updated version with the engine connected
