Ok an edit on the Ailerons because that roll was god awful, just increase the depth, not the lenght, by one or two notches on the control surface shape editor to increase the roll. Thanks WIIEnthustiast for the heads up. Sorry for that.
Try tweaking the ailerons to your liking. I like a smoother roll but i had to redesign the wings to make it roll better than before, so maybe i didnt tweak it enough. Sorry
Glad to see you figured that trick out. Also if you just grab the pieces while they are in the wanted position sometimes they lock into place. Many frustrated moves magically shined light on that for me. Awesome job man!!
Sorry i was replying to CJedwards with the previous comment. I cant make the wings snap off on my iphone with medium graphic settings, so im not sure what is going on with your download. Sorry about that.
Thans man, im working on a B1-B at the moment which i can only do on my laptop due to its size. Once im done with that I will try that plane out. They usually take the longest but are very rewarding.
I dont mind if you tweak the models on your own, just keep them to yourself to enjoy. Nobody likes seeing reposts of their stuff. If you build it from scratch then no biggy, everyone is going to make the same planes from time to time.
Thanks man, the old war birds are the coolest to make. Reminds me of when I was younger getting cheap styrofoam gliders of famous wardbirds. I have a P-47 Thunderbolt in the works right now, almost done but something is still bugging me with the looks of it. Should be very soon. I also have a F6F-5 Hellcat and a P-51D coming very soon too. Im glad you enjoy my stuff
Dont know why all the bad ratings, cause this thing is built amazingly. Awesome attention to detail, and it flies great. I gave it a 5, cause thats what it is. People must be jealous of seeing it on the best to rate it low, or they dont know what good is. dont worry, the one someone steals will get better rating because it isnt you.
Thanks friend, Im pretty happy with the way it turned out too now. Took a couple of builds to get just right. The wheels were the trickiest to get right with the wing setup. Once I was satisfied with how it looked, the thing flew like a dream which left me pleasantly surprised. Its always nice to hear feedback, thanks for that.
Thought I would let you know this guy totally ripped off your design but you got no credit for the orginal build. https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/SDxrjH/B-25
Looks like that chode CJ stole your build also. I built a P-51D also and had to drop a couple jet engines in the fuselage to make it perform better. I wish they would beef up the prop power because I have a bunch of old war birds i want to make as true to the original as possible. Kuddos to you for making it work.
This little bird flies great. I like the minimal design, its very light and nimble. Cool thing about the rear VTOL thrusters in the back is you can pitch up and down with it to turn on a dime.
Thanks man, Im glad you like it. It was fun to make and is one of my favorite Jets. I dont get why theae guys just post somthing someone else made. I feel like all the fun is in making a plane fly and creating them. Im always surprised how lame people can be.
Nice, she flies alot better. The landing gear setup is a bit goofy, but its getting there. its very stable and now its just tweaking to get the look just right. I would look at IAMcoolguy's build for a similar design.
Thanks for the tip, i had to rework a detacher reinforced version of the main wings to work in better flaps (thanks thomasjaf for that amazing tip). The size of the the wing shape that i could put a contol surface was too limiting. Curious if Its worth releasing a mk II, the handling is much better fo sho.
This thing performs just like the F-35s in Battlefield 3. Very awesome performance man. I havent touched the VTOLs much yet and i have much respect for the the building of this very functional bird. Kuddos
Just drop the two medium burners in the fuselage and it is as accurate as nature intended with the type of engines mounted on the top. The iconic jetliner engine scream this jet has IRL is a result of that.
Your graphics need to be medium for this build. I have a nerfed version if you want it, or just make it slower to suit your needs. It performs perfect with the power it has for me, it just has less desirable balance when its slower. Thats just my 2 cents.
Yeah, its pretty awesome when you follow the design of the plane to a T and the plane flies like a champ. Its like building a model airplane and watching it fly, which is why im addicted to this.
Yeah, its almost double the speed, but it performs so much better with more power. You can alwsys drop the two mediums in the fuselage and replace them with tanks, but it is so underwhelming. Thanks for the comment.
Also one of my favorites as a kid, and you knocked it out of the park. Keeping it simple/not bulky and stylish is a very hard balancing act, and after hours of tedious building myself I have respect for your work. Keep it up man!
Love your builds man, and I may have found your solution. Move your cockpit forward one block and make the nose also one blocks length further forward adding a total of 5 blocks. Then make all your bottom wings symmetric. This i have found makes it fly a little more predictable. You just had to get the COM barely in front of the COL. Pitches down a bit but it flies like an old ricketty bird. Hope that helps, and keep up the good work.
what you need to do is get the COM in front of the COL. I would lengthen the plane a bit and make the wings bigger. Also the wings running along the side in the front should be symmetric to keep the lift more towards the middle of the plane. I have a similar build with my F-15 that might make more sense, just keep saving your build on yours and load mine to compare the COM and COL. hope that helps
Thanks amigo, glad you like it. I was surprised how well flew after i focused on the looks first. The game physics are top notch. Thanks for taking the time to show some love.
Sorry for that. Ive tested multiple times trying to break them off but I cant on my device(iphone 5). Curious how bad it is and if others have the same problem? Would have to change the airfoil for that section to have no lift to hopefully solve that problem. The ailerons are the only non structural part of the wing and are tricky to keep on in most cases.

Also @Mrweber, a stuka sounds good to me, i will give it a go.
I will try my hand at the A6M3 , i have a hellcat and p-47 coming in the next few days.

It requires medium graphics for those having it break apart. Its a weird glitch

Are your graphics set to medium FarhanSE?
Im glad you like them. I will work on that one next, awesome choice.
You are great, Im glad you like them.

This thing looks awesome, who cares how it flies. Well done man, hands down the best looking Tie Fighter on simpleplanes. Keep up the good work!

Also try to balance a version with bigger engines, more power the better.

IAMcoolguy, your builds reflect the need. The need, for speed ;) love them man, keep them coming. Especially your VTOL mastery. Haters gonna hate.

Man, really good first plane. Those three burners make total sense.
If you add detacher wheels it possible to add missiles and bombs, but I enjoy landing and the sleek profile without them.

Would you guys prefer a slower version?

wow, such a better improvement.
I love it. flies great, looks awesome, and is fast. Good work sir!!!
Really awesome build, flies fantastic. Great work!!
I would love to help, but i cant find airplanes on this site very well, can you link it?

Awesome work, gotta love the little glitches in this game. It was getting tiresome building the multi structural wings. Cant wait to try it out.
+1Slow as balls....wah wah
You are my hero!!!!!!!!!
agreed, in the words of Jeremy Clarkson, it needs more POOOOWERRRRRRR!!!!One of the best looking SR-71's on here.
oops* lol
opps :)
