Saunder Roe SR-53 Rocket Intercepter

Briefing:

RAF airfield near Oxford, England; December 1956 -

Hey Pilot Officer,

This is in the hike of the Cold War, and we, Brition, are on high alert for the potential Soviet Nuclear attack. You will pilot this extremely fast Sunder Roe Sr-53 Rocket Interceptor. It has mixed propulsion of Jet and Rocket Propulsions. You will get 30 seconds of Rocket Booster to shoot up the interceptor into the ionosphere. Then, attack the incoming Soviet Bombers with the two infra-red guided DeHavelland Firestreak Missiles. You can then find your way back to the RAF bases using your jet engines. Your landing speed is 120-15o mph.

For England, God save the Queen!

Increase the throttle to 100%,

then hit AG1 to start the rocket engines.

You will have 30 seconds of rocket booster to shoot you up high enough to intercept the incoming Soviet Bombers!

Armament:

2X de Havilland Firestreaks infra-red guided Missiles
