How realistic do you want the flight model on my 180 to be?

234k jamesPLANESii  4.7 years ago

Do you want it less less realistic where the plane flies in a straight line, there’s no sideways prop wash over the tail and gyroscopic effects from the prop? Or do you want it to be hard core simulation with everything being simulated?
Here’s how it’s going so far BTW:

This is not a teaser. You will not be tagged if you say T on this post.

    W8 but all 180s are taildraggers @ACEPILOT109

Idk, but I have to say, that looks cool! Ive never seen a tail dragger 180...

Completely unrealistic, turns faster than a fighter and accelerates faster than an SR-71.
    JK, do it less realistic

@jamesPLANESii I have an idea... Make both versions. One for pilots like you with hardcore simulation and one for amateurs like me 😁😭

    As realistic as a Biplane

@jamesPLANESii Wheel traction really sucks, my landing gear are always wack because of it the main thing that pisses me off though is when a light touch on the rudder rolls the plane like crazy for no reason

I think the main downside to SP’s physics is the inertia physics and wheel traction. With the help of jet engines, you can make the flight physics amazing @Mattangi2

    .
SP's physics are surprisingly well done.

The fact that the plane has about 2000 parts and it’s going to be pretty laggy anyways as well as the fact that you’re gonna have like a 2 second delay between your control input and the input actually doing it’s thing, it’ll make taking off hell with lag lol @vcharng

"sideways prop wash over the tail"
    =>"Spiral slipstream"
Also there's a third thing called P-factor, but I wonder how you're gonna make it happen in the game...

Does these realism affect playability for mobile players?

i think in a game where realistic physics is just nonexistant u should try and make up for that by making urs hardcore realistic
