I'm building an aircraft for a combat challenge, but whenever the glass gets shot out, it loses control and eventually crashes. It's not an aircraft problem, but a glass problem. Any ideas?

I may have found a temporary fix for this problem. Attach the glass fuselage to a "Wing-3" part (use overload to check). If you have a series of glass pieces forming a canopy, only a single, designated piece should be attached to "Wing-3". Make sure that the rest of the glass pieces are attached to nothing else but each other. This should stop the plane from going haywire when glasses are broken.
@xiaofootball All the glass is connected to each other, and some to parts of the fuselage. But the wing trick works really well. The only time it failed was when I got hit by flak.
@Mostly hmm, may you show us how you attached the glass fuselage? You may have found another way of cheating the system. For now, the most reliable way I know of is to attach glass to "Wing-3".
@BagelPlane
Cool
@KnightOfRen Just an attack plane based from the IAR 99 and Casa 101
What plane is this?
@xiaofootball Man, you're a lifesaver. Thanks!
@Mostly This is my first project using the glass for a cockpit. Just this aircraft
@BagelPlane Odd, i've never had an issue like that when a glass piece gets destroyed. Is it for every one of your aircraft that use glass or is it just that one?
@xiaofootball I’ll give it a try!
@Mostly Nope. I made sure it was attached to fuselage.
yeah the critical damage thing is broken, for me sometimes when 1 or 2 meaningless parts get damaged it says critically damaged but when 90% of my plane explodes it says multiple parts damaged. like, bruh. @xiaofootball
What @Mostly said is probably correct, multiple connections on the same hardpoint is not something the game likes, check the cockpit connections
I've already submitted a bug report about this in the last beta and tried to raise awareness of it in my last forum post. Hopefully, this issue will be resolved in the next update. They should just remove this critically damage state bs completely honestly.
Is the cockpit piece attached to the glass parts at all?
ive had this with other parts too
@Superfalcon I mean realistically that would make sense lol
I've had this too. Its super annoying. idk what to do.
@Superfalcon yes
