So me and the boys (tm) were playing multiplayer and somehow the topic of gliders came up. It was at that moment I had an idea. What if I could get a jet to simulate updraft by using semi random positions as inputs, such that "updraft zones" are created?
TLDR: I want to know if you can use funky trees to make a perlin noise map of sorts, and use that as an input for a jet.
Just one of my ideas, please forgive me if this one is especially dumb.
I have no idea what your talking about but it sounds cool
@SilverStar or also, you could use a randomly activating jet engine with max=0.01 and power=100 to do it,but the engine needs to have an intake. (just hack both parts to have 0 mass and 0 exhaust scale, but hack the inlet to have about 10 times as much drag)
@NexusGaming Maybe
@SilverStar well you could use a jet engine cheated to have 0 size and exhaust scale
Idk if the jet engines provides wind, or if it's just "invisible power" x)
@BagelPlane nah it would be best to add that into the wind system that hasn't beem updated in god knows how long. cough cough we need rain, snow, icing (optional), storms,etc
You’ve got me thinking... this is a good concept! Latitude and Longitude coordinates will be needed as well as pre-set altitudes, I think.
That’d be pretty cool, change sound pitch output and all with FT.
