Scale of parts in SP when 3d printed

8,210 ChallengerHellcat  3.8 years ago

I am planning to 3D print some parts, but I have no idea how large they'll turn out to be. I need to get it within a 10x10cm frame: how many centimetres would 1 unit in SP turn out to be?

Default block is 50cm×50cm×50cm in the game.
However, the unit system of the SP output model is meter, many slicer software units are millimeters.
Therefore, if you import the model as it is, the scale will be 1/1000 (50 cm (0.5m) blocks are 0.5 mm)

Also- make sure all the parts are fully connected, no gaps.

To be able to print the model you’ve got process it through a slicer software. I recommend Ultimaker Cura 4.4. You’ll be able to scale all the parts to your desired size in there. Then just save to a removable drive, plug it into the printer and start printing!

1 SP unit is 50cm IRL. A 2x2x2 fuselage block with all corners Hard is basically 1 m3.
