So how do I decrease the rate of airspeed loss when I kill engine power?

Hello Simpleplanes community.
I have a question.

I'm in the process of making a remake of my AP-29, as some people would probably know, maybe, and I have an issue with it regarding loss of airspeed when I kill the throttle.

When I do that, I very rapidly lose airspeed. I know it's a prop aircraft (which is VTOL, like the V-22) with a straight wing, but the design is inspired by the PA-28, so it shouldn't lose airspeed so quickly when I kill the throttle.
Like, it can go from, say 160 mph, to stall speeds like 50 mph, around about that area, in a few seconds, even if the nose is pointed down.

So how can I make the loss of airspeed when the throttle is killed more slow so that it's more realistic?

Remove drag points. Drag slows you down, so if you have less you will not decelerate as fast

Just jostle the drag values around.

Ok, well I'll give it a try.

@FeatherWing It replaces the throttle input so it should work on every engine aside from the old alpha prop part.

I'm assuming that goes in the Prop engine input?
(I already have an FT code in there for it to activate with an AG and spool up to certain amount.)

Use the input smooth(Throttle, .5) in overload. The lower the number, the lower the acceleration/deceleration. DON'T reduce drag and DON'T reduce mass until you try this. Altering physics in this game can really beak your plane. They really don't help with realism for obvious reasons.

Use 6 bladed scaled unpowered heli rotors with a 5-20 degree pitch, adjust to suit your needs.

This method can also be used as an infinite propulsion source that doesnt require fuel.

@FeatherWing if your doing custom wings then the fuselage wings, if stock wings then them

    Reduce drag and engine power.

    Wing parts or fuselage wings?

Keep the drag around fuselage, the rest(wings, fuselage wings, details, etc.) should be disabled
    Set calculateDrag to false
That also makes your plane consume less resources, hence smoother FPS

    You should make the VP-29

    @Boelin
    Uh, no.
I decreased the drag, and that didn't do much.
I can't just remove it outright either or that wouldn't be realistic.
