Lately I've been getting 2-3 second lag spikes every 10 seconds in my designer, with planes with as little as 100 parts.
Previously my computer had maybe half-second lag spikes with planes over 1000 parts, but now it has got incredibly bad.
I'm not sure if this is just my computer or not, but I haven't had any problems in any other games. Anyone else noticed anything?
Is anyone else getting huge lag spikes in the designer after the last update?

i had lag spikes while playing fortnite that started about 10 days ago. i thought it was because of my nvidia driver. might be a completely separate problem, but it went away when i plugged it in
I've been having some lag spikes in the designer (though not too severe because I use a relatively small number of parts) but I just assumed it was because of the MP mod.
But then during actual gameplay my game runs fine.
yep
Yes, but what I've experience isn't anything severe (yet), and it only happens during specific things.
I chalked it up to the fact my game had been running for over 36hrs (minimizing it and sleeping computer).
.
For me it happened when playing with Sliders for changing Dead Weight on a Fuselage part. As I'd slide that setting around, the game would have a curious micro-stutter. and that build only has 483 parts, and my computer has more than enough horsepower for SP.
@AWESOMENESS360 Wasn't it the "Physics" calculations WNP disabled in Designer?
(since the Drag system still has to function in thye designer in order for parts to have their Drag Points updated, though I suppose they could make it 'Conditional' to save even more CPU cycles, by having it only calc it when the Drag visual is enabled...)
@jamesPLANESii :(
.
I can run about 1200 parts before the lag starts getting too bad on max graphics. My phone is pretty powerful lol
I have experienced this too, it's indeed a bug.
Damn ur cool lol
I’m gonna go cri now :’(@jamesPLANESii
I can run epicly on my phone tho
@Kangy I can run over 5000 parts with max graphics and physics
Yeah same
I struggle to run 300 + parts with max graphics :(
i can confirm this happens to me as well when i was building my Fujin Eagle
@AWESOMENESS360 Yeah that's almost exactly what I experience
Yeah! I’ve found that refreshing the game fixes this, but the spikes come back after 5-10 minutes of gameplay. Weirdly enough, there’s usually little to no lag at all in the actual world, yet the world is almost always laggier than the designer. Heck, the Devs even mentioned that they removed drag calculations in the designer to free up a little more FPS in a previous update!
you guys are lagging?
mods, its always mods , try disabling some.
My paneled CF-104 is a lot laggier after the update
I wouldn't know, The update still isn't out on the Android app store. Does it happen to every build? There was an issue with over scaled fueselages causing lag a while ago.
I used to have that issue way back when, but I haven't had anything like it in forever now
Happens to me when you fly your craft, not in the designer. But that was pre 1.11 and I just closed and opened SP to fix it
Maybe I just havent built enough in 1.11, but I haven't noticed any more lag.
Do I smell a potato pc? No, I'm just kidding. The lag has always been REAL for me when doing certain things. Like using a 1000 part subassembly. Still runs though! You guys have no idea how hard mobile is...
I get it too and it's far more pronounced in my weak laptop.
I didn't experience any lag in the designer but when I click play I get lag even with the P-51-D and I'm on medium physics maybe it will be ok once the next update is out or, maybe just maybe, maybe it's because theres new parts I remember I got a-lot of lag when I first started playing sp and then a few days later the lag was gone
Happens to me when spawning AI planes
I always got lag spikes
