It would be cool to have an achievements system on the website. Like when a person reaches bronze, silver, gold, or platinum. Or probably milestones like 150, 250, 1k, 1.5k, etc.
Here are some possible achievements:
-White: "The new guy"
-Bronze (in short amount of time): "Picking up pace!"
-Bronze (normal): "Gold? oh wait.. close enough :D"
-Silver (in short amount of time): "Well.. that was quick"
-Silver (normal): "Ooh, shiny"
-Gold (short amount of time): "Quick is an understatement at this point"
-Gold (normal): "Hit the gold!"
-First 100 planes posted: "Perfect! You now have a squadron"
-Platinum: "What was it? How didn't we get here? I might have forgotten it"

This would lead to tons of users spamming 40k part copy-paste builds to farm this "virtual currency". It's bad enough with upvotes that do nothing except make your name shinier, imagine the chaos that would be caused by something with actual value.
What makes you think this would be a good idea at all?

I like the concept, but I’m not sure how I feel about having different messages depending on the time it takes you to achieve a higher rank.

this website should have an economy. A virtual currency, so to keep the site organized, in order and to reward users for their hard work. For example, a build is priced according to the number of parts (however to avoid currency farms, there should be stricter rules on modifying high part count builds and if you post a modified build, the original owner should get like 80% of the currency and 20% for the user that posted the modified one). An example of this is some Yamato with 20k parts. Since it has so many parts, it should be more expensive. Also, you can earn currency by upvotes, downloads, spotlights and logging in to the website everyday. If you break the rules or do something wrong, your currency will be deducted (amount may vary from kinds of rule violation)

- upload certain number of planes / forum posts / videos / mods
- number of comments or upvotes given
- join community events like tournaments (lol)
- the tags you use on planes
