I just finished watching The Expanse (great show btw, watch it. Hoping for a 7th season) and i kinda wanna make a realistic space fighter of small corvette that applies to the rules of physics, just like in the show, with RCS thrusters for control and stuff.
Does anyone have a way to either simulate Zero-G on mobile, so i can make something that kinda feels like it's in space from the start, or a system that allows space combat maneuvers in SP, like braking burns, or flip-and-burns and stuff like that?
You could make an engine connected to 3 rotators or a 3-axis control base, such that the engine always points upwards
Adjust the engine thrust to match the weight of your aircraft
Maybe this will help
Hmm... not sure I've seen much along the lines of "flip-and-burn"-type spacecraft (probably because a lot of people would have difficulty controlling them). Theoretically, you could have something with zero drag whatsoever, which should allow (in fact, require) thrusting and reorienting to change directions. You would need to have some sort of method of negating gravity, though (maybe a gyro-stabilized jet engine with some FT code).
@IceCraftGaming most of the ones ive seen operate as a Star Wars style ship, which means no realism. At least of what ive seen
@Mage2IsTriggered Ah ok
Can't you use one of those god jets that people make? The hover box thingys that seem to defy the laws of inertia
