How much parts are considered "low parts"?

11.1k FumoCirno  1.2 years ago

I have been asking myself this question for quite some time now.

Every time i decide to build something, i want everyone to be able to run it smoothly (both mobile users and desktop users), which is also one of the reasons I've decided not to use mods when i actually could've.

Back to my point, how much parts are considered "low parts"? 250? 500? let me know what you think'll be the golden spot for balancing detail and functionality, with performance.

Oh by the way, next build is going to be a "Simple" T-64A, until i figure out what to do with the Winchester 2 TwT

I have a F-16 in 16 Parts, I have a parasite plane in 10 parts, and another low part aircraft with 8 parts.

I'd say low parts are about 250-350

Many of my builds with high parts still have less than 100

I'd say "low parts" is under 150 or so.
Now, "High part" does not necessarily start at 150, low just ends.

It really depends on your device. Most of my builds are under 200 parts, and my little brother's ipod touch runs them with zero issues. I'd say if you're going for “low parts“ just don't shoot for an OCD level of detail and you should be fine.

100-150 would be my vote for an upper limit to be able to qualify as low parts.
I get a lil upset when I see a 500 part plane labeled as low part and mobile friendly.
Maybe my phone is just bad I guess

If you asked me when I had a crappy android 5 phone (it was an LG K7), id say less than 300 parts. Nowadays, keep it below 500 for mobile friendliness

    Most of my builds
    I mean
    Look at the part count
Most of them are under 100 parts

    For me below 150 parts

I consider 200 parts or lower as "low parts"
It does depend on the device tho, devices aren't really created equal

For me, 1000 is currently my "normal parts" so low parts might be 500
Devs also used to take 5000 cost as vr friendly, but still can be quite heavy. That can be 1000-2000 parts to hit it, depending on number of gizmos

Ignoring the previous factors stated in the comment below, IMO, a build is considered ‘low part’ or ‘mobile friendly’ if it’s under 800 parts.

Depends more on Performance cost, as well as Label Art, Funky Trees, physical details (dimensions, weight, drag, suspension, free rotors, etc).

For example, my phone with 4 GB of RAM lasted up to 4000 PC, and the current one with 8 GB of RAM lasts up to 7000-8000 PC.
