i want to use simpleplanes game to make models (assets) and export them as .obj as the game already allows for 3D printing.
but i wanted to know am i allowed to use this assets to make mod for another game called "the long dark" ?
the long dark is also another unity game.
i just found out that unity can import this obj files and i want to use simpleplanes to ease my work cuz otherwise i have to learn to use blender or other... .
i am not going to make money from this mods.
I got an email from jundroo's support team and they had no problem with it.
awesome
Best if you made it mostly out of fuselage tubes, since those really aren't always related to simpleplanes because mostly everyone can make a simple mesh like that.
That's all I know really.
Should be fine, maybe credit sp, especially if you use the engine or gizmo meshes
I think somewhere in the rules it said we can't make money off of exported or printed objects, so just keep that in mind. Other than that, I cannot help.
@V i didnt see anything about using SP to create assets.
could you highlight them for me if its convenient to you?
@BaconEggs i am not planning on anything big, maybe just a first aid box with 5 or 10 part count or a cigar that is a 2 part tube.
honestly i can make them inside unity editor as well its just its hideous the way you move around stuff in comparison to SP which is a massive convenience
Privacy policy goes over this, bottom of page
sp counts as a 3d modeling medium as horrific a statement as that may be, i dont think theres any copyright issue
grangy is right though ive examined sp exported objects in blender and even for a low part build it is hedonistic how unoptimized the meshes are
@BaconAircraft
@Seeras
@Vincent
@WNP78
@DeezDucks
@weebabyseamus
@HellFireKoder
I would suggest tagging a developer.
I have no idea the legal consequences of such an act, though I would greatly question how well-optimized any such models would be.
